Flashing ''4'' and ''H'' on the printing screen

Just press the online button on the copier screen and it will print

This machine (Sharp AL 1530CS) is a black and white printer/copier but can Scan (not print) in colour. It only has a black toner so will never print in colour...sorry

To reset the drum light on your Sharp AL2020 copier press the following key's in sequence and as quickly as possible (with 4 seconds for the first 4 keys)
Press "C" then the "auto" key (exposure mode) then the "C" key then the "auto" key again.
So in other words C, Auto, C, Auto
If done correctly the display should go blank.
Then key in 24 as if you were going to make 24 copies.
Now press the "print" button
Now key in 7 as if you were making 7 copies
Now press the print button again.
You should now be getting flashing zero's on the display.
Turn the machine off then on again and your drum light should be gone!
You can usually reset this counter at least once to get twice the life out of your drum unit.

L what? These Sharp machines will flash a letter followed by a number such as L 1. The L1 is the most common so I will give you my link for that solution. If this is not correct just reply back with the code you have.

My AL-1530-CS printer will not copy

Hi there
I only know that some where in the menu setup on your printer there is a place there to reset the count for you toner.

There are NO Win 7 drivers, and I suspect there never will be. Sharp are NOT writing a Win 7 driver, for this "Old", according to Win 7, hardware. You may be able to install a, XP SP2 or Vista 64 bit driver, and setup in Compatibility Mode, however if you do,do this EVERY-TIME you Bootup you MUST press F8, and select to Disable "Digital Signature Checking" at bottom of list. You need to do that at install time too.

Go to http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads.aspx
In product category select Printer and Faxes
In product Model select Model Not Listed
In enter a product model put in AL-1530cs
In download type select ALL
Click on the Search button
It will then list all applications available from Sharp for this model.

You didn't mention the number or code or L code.
If its L1-00 its just only the scanner, it means the scanner is locked.

There is a crystal lock under the scanner and on the top of the exit tray. just rotate the lock, makes sure that the front of the lock is on the direction of the scanner(to the right).
