I have an Ebel Classic wave watch and last week managed to lose the crown. How do I fit a new one - I have the part.
I have changed the battery on my and my wifes ebel classic wave watch,,
step 1 ...remove the crown by pulling away from the watch, use your thumb and index fingernail and pull , it will come out
step 2 ...remove all 5 gold bezel screws
step 3... be careful,, the bezel/crystal will pry off easy
step 4... be careful and remove the entire face/hands/watch guts all in one easy step,, or just turn the watch over and it will fall out
step 5.. small screwdriver and remove/replace battery
step 6... reinstall watch guts/bezel and gold screws
step 7... push crown back into watch
step 8... take wife and kids to dinner ,,you just saved three hunderd bucks
if have done it many times ,, you can do it !!!!
You should make a video and posted on youtube. I lost a customer because I didnt know how to remove the crown, to change the battery. Why so complicated?? I wouldnt buy my wife ebel watch.
Thanks,
wrong you do not remove any peices you pull out stem to the set position. the guts will lift up opp of stem side as you lift up you rowtate counter clockwise and the works will flip over and back into the case upside down to protect the face exspossing the batt. the stem is made to rowtate / bend slitly after batt is replaced. lift same side but rowtate clockwise . but do not touch face of watch hands are very delicate. but one thing to remember once you remove the bezel your warrenty is void. the ebel co. dose not want you to get away cheap. also you will never find a batt with the same numbers ( ebel made sure of that ) but a jeweler will be able to match it up. save the orig batt if somthing gos wrong with the watch in the future you mite be able to replace the orig batt and they will never know. good luck
hello read my post you do not have to remove all that stuff to change the batt , but be awear that opening an ebel will void your warrenty. but save you 240.00 to send it to ebel. thats your choice. read my post i have an ebel and so dose my wife. my wifes is ober 10 years old i have changed the batt 3 times. i have worked for a pawn shop in past years and know alot about watches and own meny. hope this is helpful

Don1421's answer is not going to work because it's not possible to remove the back of an Ebel Classic Wave. It may need to be sent to LVMH for repair.
I have problem to pull out the crown, it can be pulled out 1 step to adjust the date and another step to adjust the time. I can not pull it out completely. It seems to be a screw if I look at it but is that realy the case?

Remove the back, remove the stem, screw the crown onto the stem replace stem, replace back.
