Question about AEG B2100-4 Electric Single Oven

Oven cuts out after ten minutes and comes back after cooling down.

AEG B2100-4 built-in oven. Oven warms up and holds stable temperature but then trips out after 10 or fifteen minutes. The element, light and fan all shut down. If you allow the oven to cool down the poweer returns after about twenty minutes. It behaves like this all the time.

I had to get in the official AEG repairman before Christmas who had to make two fifty mile round trips to fix it. The problem apparently is with a thermal cutout on the fan bearing that trips prematurely. The part cost very little - the cost of the visits made it a very expensive Christmas dinner. This is the second major fault with the oven in two years. The next one will not be AEG!

The fan on my built in oven makes a buzzing noise when it gets warm and the noise continues until the oven is cooled down. The oven works fine other than the annoying buzzing noise.

We have the same problem with our oven, AEG B2190-1.It started on on Christmas day[worst day of year]gets up to temperature after 10-15 minutes cuts out everything switches off until the oven has cooled down, The oven is only 18 months old. We have been told that it is a thermostat problem.

The control switch on our AEG B3000, a similar oven, had burned contacts which prevented the fan from running in one selector position where the fan was to run when the heating element cycled off. The tech replaced thermostat which was not problem at all. If the fan does not run in this mode the heat stays at the top of the oven near the thermostat and prevents proper heat build up. Switching to 100% convection fan mode solved problem until switch replaced and all switch positions worked again. Hope technician will now refund for thermostat which was perfectly fine. Always check thermostat in boiling water before replacing.

I have an aeg d2100-4-m oven. main lower oven not getting hot. Have replaced element, to no avail.Fan and light in oven both come on, but have noticed that the temperature dial light is not illuminating....

Hi .
Sounds like the oven thermostat is faulty.,
This gives a supply to the element .
The temp indicator should be lit, if it is not, then I would suggest repl;acing the oven thermostat.

Zaunssi ZBF360X built in Oven Not Heating

This tutorial will show you how to check your Zanussi element and how to replace your Zanussi cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
  1. Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Zanussi manual.
  2. If you're Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
  3. When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

Fan oven on zanussi electric cooker does not heat up

From symptons, I would say the fan oven element is faulty, more so if the fan is working. Remove inner rear panel of oven and see if element gets warm, let it run for a minute, switch off and feel if element is warm, if not, then replace.the element.
Plz rate this solution.
Thanks.

AEG U7101-4 Top Oven tripping the fuse after a few minutes

It is more than likely the oven element, as it gets
hotter the insulation in the element is breaking down and causing the trip to operate..
Remove the panel at the rear of the oven and you will see the element there, undo the screws and pull the element towards you, carefully, detach the 2 wires and remove the element.
Be careful not to lose the 2 wires behind the oven rear.
Replace with new element.
Cannot give you a part number, you will have to go to aeg web site.
