Canon550 flash problem

I've had my Cannon 550 for about 6 months now and its been working very well... But the flash stopped functioning about a month ago. I can still take pictures in all the modes without flash.. but when I turn the flash on, the ready light goes on, but the picture isn't taken. Is this a problem I can fix? or should I take it to the shop?

Having the same problem, although after about a year of having it. i've come to the conclusion that the flash itself is broken, if you shake the camera you'll hear something moving around (at least that's my case) and i'm supposing it's similar to a burnt light bulb kinda thing. so the solution would probably be to send the camera to canon itself or find someone who can replace the flash (and buy one as well). I can't do either because I live out of the US =(

I have a Canterbury cannon gas log fire, it worked great last winter, just tried to start it after 6 months and while I can see a spark it won't light! I have other gas appliances that work fine

Sometimes the gas in the supply line to the fire can disperse over a few months. It is worth holding on to the ignition for a couple of minutes (giving it a spark every 30 sec or so) to make sure it is flushed. If you smell gas then stop!

I've got a 2002 Montana in the shop and the A/C has got a leak. The condensor was replaced 2 months ago and system pressure tested ok. Has dye in it and there is absolutely no trace anywhere. The...

The AC may stop working due to a refrigerant leak from the condenser - this is not uncommon in Montanas built between 2001 and 2003. GM has developed and updated condenser and mounting bracket to help prevent the replacement condenser from failing in the same manner.

I'm not sure why the dye isn't showing.

Usual cost of the fix is around $550.

I've brought it to Samsung Customer Center. and they've introduced me to change the new touch screen. It is about USD50.00. I am bored. I used it a little bit.

How do you take a night shot? and also, how do you turn off the flash? I have a Cannon Powershot SD 550 Digital Elph I have lost my manual.

If you push the button with the flash icon and watch the screen, stop when you see the flash in a circle with a diagonal line through it. You can download a copy of the manual from the support section of the Canon website.
