Mpvr troubleshoot I have had the mpvr for two months and it has worked fine but i noticed after the last time i charged the battery and turned it on, it brought up the title screen and would go to a black screen as if a lens cap would be on or something. anyways after about ten seconds it will automatically turn off. another thing i noticed is it won't turn on auto when you flip the screen open but that you have to manually push the button open.

I own a DV6800 (european version). for the first problem- looks like a weak battery. When the camera was delivered to me, it came with a bad battery and I had it replaced. for the second problem- there is a magnetic reed switch inside the camera and there is a magnet inside the LCD screen. The magnet activates the switch. If it is not turning on automatically then the switch is defective. Or- there is a possiblity that the two failures are related, meaning that the reed switch is only activating for a moment (turning on the power) the after the magnet is not in close proximity (LCD opened), the reed switch will deactivate turning off the unit in 10 seconds. I have opend my unit once because somene forced open the LCD in a wrong way. if you plant to diaasemble the unit, the re are screws under the sticker for control labels. You have to remove this sticke first. I have my DV6800 since Decemmber 2005

Toshiba Camileo h20 battery problem Toshiba Camileo H20 camcorder bought in July O9 Worked fine on 2 week holiday and have recharged the battery 2 or 3 times since. Latterly battery charge didn't last very...

It's eight years old now, and if as you say it has had intermittent use, then the battery will probably have died unless charged at last once a month.

Hp r707 wont turn on

Connect the charger. If the camera works while connected to the charger, you need a new battery.

Aiptek DV3300 do not turn on

Maybe the rechargeable batteries aren't providing enough power. I'm assuming the batteries are recently, fully charged. Rechargeable batteries can lose their charge over time even if they're not being used.

My camera will not stay on

Hi Sarah,
I had the same problem. What I did was to remove then reinsert the battery and turn the camcorder on. I let the battery run down (discharge) completely, then plugged it in to the charger overnight. Doing a little more research on this camcorder, I found that if it hasn't discharged completely when you recharge then the battery holds less charge each time until finally you get next to no battery use. Discharging completely may be an option. Hope it works!

My camera is not starting at all

I had the same problem. Almost brand new. Would turn it on and would last only 2-3 seconds, couldn't even complete one picture. Suddenly, I put in fully charged batteries and now it works! I had tried these before. The only difference was I used the batteries in another device and returned them to recharge. Just last night I decided to try once more and the charged batteries worked. No problems since with power, except now I can't get images to transfer! I did notice one little line in instructions I had never seen than when you change batteries, you have to program the camera with type used.
