Motorboat sound I have a 25 in sanyo tv. when i turn the tv on it makes this motorboat sound behind the power button. Can you please help me on fixing this problem. thank you

Problem in the power supply a filter cap is bad check the repairman to locate the bad cap good luck.

Please check if the power cord is connected properly in the wall outlet and in the TV. Check the wall outlet. Has it got power? Check if there is red light when the power is switched on at the wall outlet. If there is red light then press the power button. Does the TV turn on? If not then your power button is defective and requires replacement as it is not making contact. Also please try to start your TV WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL. At times it helps.

Have a Sanyo tv model DS31520. Won't turn on. push power button, nothing. checked fuse on board-o.k. Power to circuit board. Any ideas what to check next?
Sounds like the switch is missing the mark behind it. Take the back cover off and see if the back of the push ON switch has been worked loose from pressing.

It sounds like you have a problem in the set's power supply or high voltage section and the set is protecting itself from turning on. Unfortunately, you'll need to take it to be serviced.

My Sanyo HT28745 28" HDTV clicks but doesn't turn on
I have had a similar problem with my tv, it has something to do with the power supply.Try unplugging your tv from the AC outlet. While unplugged from the power supply hold down the - volume control and then plug the tv back in while holding down the - volume control. It should bring up the service screen. If the screen turns on and is blank then it may need to be brought in for repairs.

If the screen does turn on, either blank or with the service menu, turn off the tv and unplug it from the power supply again. With it still unplugged hold down the power button on the tv and then replug in the tv. continue to hold down the power button until the tv displays a video signal on screen.
