I have a samsung vpd video camera and the picture on the lcd is rolling very slowly when im recording.the picture is fine when being played back after the recording.its very off putting and you tend to keep moving the camera up and down with the roll?
any suggestions.
i dont want to send it off to samsung repair centre they are crap!!!
dealt with them before.

the problem of your camera is the alignment...so try to adjust the two tape guide and two small screw near at the video head is you can open your camera..doing these you should be careful cause your to close to the head or you may damage it..adjust the small screw first slowly...if is not work then the tape guide...

Possible causes: the sync signal head is not recording, there is a mismatch between the capstan motor speed and the video head speed, or one of the sync circuits has a fault. Typically, if the picture rolls up or down, it's a vertical sync problem. A horizontal sync fault or tracking mismatch will cause the picture to tear sideways.
Try cleaning the sync head (one of two heads separate from the video head drum; the other is the audio track head), but don't be surprised if doesn't solve the problem.
