I have an approx. 18-month-old Casio Exilim EX-Z55. I have two batteries. Recently, it appears that neither battery will properly charge. When placed on the cradle, the charging light will either immediately blink red, or show solid red for maybe 1 minute and then show green, as if it were fully charged already. The camera went from being able to only power on, and immediately shut down due to low battery, to now not powering on at all. I have tried cleaning the contacts and that has not helped. Any suggestions?

Re: Charging/power problems on EX-Z55
The problem might be your charger. I would call repairs and tell them you have a defective charger and they can check it for you. You can reach them at 800-706-2534 and then keep choosing option 1 and that will take you into Casio's repair department.

Seen a few of these, with no apparent fix. regarding the 0e01 error, I heard it really got fixed by a firware update. A firmware update is not available through the casio site though, not for your model.
Try taking out the batteries for 24 hours, the SD card aswell, and when you put back the bats(use good NimHs), don't put back the card. See what happens. Also try connecting to electricity through the adapter.
What about warranty? have you contacted casio? Do they have anything usefull to say or are they only qualified to answer the phone and offer you a 200 $ repair/replacement?
