Question about Canon PIXMA iP1500 InkJet Photo Printer
Service error code 6000 for canon pixma ip 1500
Anon PIXMA iP1000
Waste Ink Counter Reset.
Step 1: Manual for Service mode
1. Unplug power and USB.
2. Open door and hold power button.
3. Connect power.
4. Close door, then release power button.
step 2 : Software for Permanant
1. Reconnect the printer cable.
2.Open General Tools software and select (USB PORT)
3 .Choose (SET DESTINATION 1) And it should be reset.
Remark "After service mode Pls use software for permanent reset"

I had the same problem but the reset did not work. Any other suggestions please would be appreciated.

Hello Surs, Wish I could be more confident of this but I couldn?t find much on this series of printer. You didn?t indicate if there were any LED codes being flashed but this is the only reference I could find involving ?6000? and this model printer. Issue: Power light (or Alarm / Power lights) alternate(s) between orange and green 3 times (6000) ________________________________________ Solution: Reset the printer Follow these steps to reset the printer: 1. Turn the printer off with the Power button (if available). 2. Disconnect the data cable from the printer (not applicable to WiFi, Bluetooth or Infrared) . 3. Unplug the printer's power cord for a few seconds, and then plug it back in. If troubleshooting a communication issue, reconnect the data cable (not applicable to WiFi, Bluetooth or Infrared). 4. Turn the printer back on. I don?t have a service manual for this printer nor was I able to find one anywhere. From poking around the Canon site it appears that there are other error codes than what is published in their manual or web site so it might be worth a call to the help desk.
