Sharp Blue Ray and Sharp Aquos TV were working just fine, now blue ray not recognized by tv; screen stays dark but the blue ray appears to be operating. Have tested the blue ray independently and worked fine on another tv; problem has to be with the tv. Cable tv works ok, just don't have a picture with blue ray.

A refurbished set? If blue ray is not built into set the issue is with the set--maybe the reason set was refurbished.....If have not tried it unplug set for a while and reconnect with set turned off.

SOURCE: Sharp TV (LC52D64U) remote control Comcast cable (DVR) box ?

I had the same problem with my remote. I would enter the code and there would be no response from the remote. I looked up the manual for the other comcast remote and the codes are 5 digits instead of 4. Try codes 10093 or 11602. The reason why there is no response from your remote is because it is waiting for you to enter the last digit of the code. Hope this helps.

Flickering screen (LC-52SB55u) with HDMI cable input from Sharp Aquos Blue Ray. HDMI working well from other inputs

Do a quick google for this on the AVForums site where you'll find numerous threads covering this problem. First, select the HDMI input before turning on the blu ray player. The handshake over HDMI is the problem. I have the same problem with a Technika blu ray which is fine on my other TVs.
If this doesn't solve it then you ned a firmware update which can be downloaded from Sharp's website and installed using a USB pendrive or by PCMCIA card from Sharp if you have an older model with a rocker on off switch and no USB update port on the back of the TV.

I'v got a sharp aquos and the blu-ray dont work on it the dvd's work? and dont no where to get it fixed can you help please?

The Sharp is not getting the go codes from the blue ray, or the blue ray is not sending them. Sony has a cool comcept to force you into buying Sony stuff. HDMI sends information down the cable that is caring the audio and video that tells the Sharp that its OK to allow the signal in. Some receivers, and or DAs do not pass this data, so the TV will not display the video and audio. Connect the blue ray player directly to the TV, and loop audio out to the receiver for the auio, and see whay happens.

I have a sharp aquos bd-16u blue ray player, I get the audio signals but I'm not getting any video signal with the component output. My tv does not have hdmi inputs but it does have component inputs. What...

1. could be the cable you using.
2. Could be you in the wroung input
3. RaRE but it could be the Blue ray itself

You might want to try new cables the R,G,B ones..

Yiou can try it on another tv to see if that works.

in rare instances you could have a dead on arrival there,

Thanks I hope this helps please do be considerate and leave postive feedback and ratings.

Sharp Aquos 46" HDMI problem

I have a similar problem. The Sharp TV aquos appears to be shutting down my blue ray player and dvd recorder when connected via HDMI. They work fine and never close down when I connect them via the rca cables either single video connection or a composite 3 cable rca lead. I have 3 HDMI inputs on the tv and the problem occurs on all 3. Any suggestions?

Can not get my new 42 " Aquos TV to work with my new blue ray DVD

A blu ray player will play on any television. The television might not however have the highest resolution to display the full capability of a blue ray. That being said, the blu ray player may be faulty the connections may be incorrect. I would recommend running an HDMI cable from the A/V out on the blu ray to the HDMI input on the TV. GOod Luck
