Question about Amana RanARG7302 Gas Kitchen Range

My oven will not heat...

When I turn on the oven, it will not heat. For the last couple of months, the oven has worked "when it wanted to". I could turn it on and wait anywhere from 1 minute to 1 hour for it to heat up. Last night it never heated up. I had it on for hours with no heat. The igniter is not glowing at all. The broiler does work, however, and the igniter glows on that. Could this problem be the igniter? Is this something that can be fixed on our own from inside the oven, or from the back? Is there a place I can get a detailed breakdown for fixing it ourself? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Oven igniter lights OK, but no gas flow, hence no oven flame. Top Broiler works ok -- Do not have manual so need to know if this would be the safty valve, and would need to know where it is located.

    Range model - ARG7300LL Mfg - P1143320NLL Ser# - 9701269595

    thanks

Dean, sounds like your ignitor failed. This is a pretty easy job that you can do by yourself. Usually there is 2 screws in the oven bottom in back that come out. From there you lift the bottom panel out exposing the flame spreader. Remove the flame spreader and the ignitor is sitting right there. This is usually held in with a couple 1/4 in hex screws. The new ignitor will either come with a harness or just wires. You can splice the new one in with ceramic wire nuts or if it has a harness, follow the wiring to where it connects. I find just splicing the new one in is easier. I have 2 part numbers depending on your P-number..0316223 and 3194001. Look them up on the net and see which one matches your ignitor. Breville bov800xl wont turn on. Reset option?.

If the screen turns on and looks like it's working but there is no heat, then the problem is the thermal fuse. It takes reassembly and a $5 replacement fuse. I replaced mine with one of the same specifications and it lasted a month. I replaced it again with one that trips at a 10 degrees higher setting and it's been good for a couple of years now.

Was using it last night to heat something up. When almost done, microwave made a zizt type of sound and went off. I turned it back on and it continued cooking, but I started smelling burned plastic or

More common then you think, i have gone through a couple microwaves in the last ten years, they both failed very similar to what you describe. One popped the breaker one day, reset the breaker and it worked again but had an odd smell to it. I took it apart and couldn't find anything burnt or melted so i tossed it and got a new one, i didn't want a microwave burning the house down! I would suggest unless your really tied to that microwave that you just replace it for safety sake. Four years or forty years old don't matter anymore, i had one microwave, LG brand, that died two months after the warranty expired and it would cost more to repair it then replace the thing!

GE Profile gas range - stove works, oven doesn't heat

Set the oven for bake. Wait a couple minutes and look in the oven. If you see a orange glow the ignitor is working, but, may need to be replaced.
If you see no orange glow the ignitor definitely needs to be replaced.

Thermador double oven / Bake wont work /FC code flashed once

I found I have this exact problem. Same bake preheat issue: I can bake if I set broil first. However, the oven doesn't work if I press bake first. The control board has already been replaced a couple times over the years. Is this another replacement??
