It will not copy after I emptied the waste container.

The C25 stores toner in a waste toner container. On the front of that container there is rectangular clear window that fits into a sensor when installed into machine. The sensor passes a beam of light through that window. When the bottle is full there is toner inside that clear plastic window which stops the light from making it through the window and the machine will tell you the waste toner is full. Just dumping the container out will not clear that window and by putting it back in the machine you will get the same toner full message. If you are going to try to reuse that container you will have remove the black plastic cover that is glued to the container above the clear plastic. Then use something like a Qtip to clean all the toner off of that clear window(much easier and faster to just replace in with a new container). if you still get the waste toner full message after you install it then remove it and wipe off the sensor that the clear window sits in. This will clear the message and you can continue your copy job.

What model MFC Brother Printer do you have? The waste toner is left over toner from each print or copy that isn't used. It collects in a different spot in each printer. Usually the waste toner container is with the regular toner cartridge. The printer is able to detect when the waste toner is full by a light sensor in or near that container. Sometimes excess toner collects on the sensor itself and causes it to think the waste toner is full when it actually isn't. Try finding the waste toner container and empty it or replace it. clean the sensor that is on or near the container. it is likely a small black plastic piece that has 2 or 3 small wires coming from it. The model of printer will help to identify where the container is.

Hi, noise means there is a problem with the copier mechanical parts however, yours appears to be a problem with copying area. This is caused by waste toner being full in its container and mostly machines also display triangle sign while making this noise.
Solution

• Open front cover and pull-out the toner cartridge.
• Carefully push open a notch with a spring on the side marked with green color and empty waste toner. If its hard to come out, use a flat screwdriver to scratch inside of waste toner compartment to loosen its grains then empty to the last dust. You can tilt the container upside down while holding the opening open and hitting gently on its side.
• If not able, you can open the 6 screws supporting this holder and empty it. Note how it locks while replacing to avoid damaging the unit.

A common mistake is that people think that the waste toner needs to be emptied and instead the toner needs to be replaced --- and vice versa. Check to make sure that the toner bottle is not empty. Also, if you made copies that took ( used ) more toner then the machine was able to replenish, the machine has not had a chance to catch up. Place a white sheet of paper on the platen glass and make blank white copies. You may only be able to get 1-2 copies at first but as the device catches up with the toner replenish you should be able to make more. The blank copies you make -- do NOT put that paper right back into the machine. Lay it flat and let it cool, this will help prevent unwanted jamming due to heat build up in the paper. IF you have good amount of new toner in the machine, gently tap the front line ( or rear line) that feeds the used toner into the waste bottle. Sometimes the waste toner will clog and back up into the machine giving false 'waste toner full' message.

Manufactures try to stop you from emptying the container by having a small "window" that the printer looks through, when you empty the toner there will still be some toner on this window, so the printer will still believe that it is full.

a way around this is to wash the container out with water (do not use hot water as this will melt the toner). i also wouldn't recommend pouring the water & toner down the sink as this could be breaking local laws.

There is a sensor just behind the waste toner box that sends beam through the water toner box to see if reaches the other side. If it does not, then the sensor thinks that the box is full. So you need to clean the waste toner box with some liquid cleaner so that it looks white from outside. Once the box is dry, try again. This should work now.
