I had the same problem and called the company. They suggested this solution and to my amazement... it worked!
Turn off the TV manually (don't use the remote). Unplud the TV from power supply. Wait 1/2 hour. Then replug and turn it on manually. It should take care of it by resetting to factory settings.
You will have to redo any color, hue, brightness, etc adjustments.

To turn on the TV: Turning the Display On and Off There is a power switch on the bottom of the display and a power button on top. The power switch is used to cut off power completely, whereas the power button turns the screen off but allows the remote to continue working. To turn the display on: 1. If the power light on the front of the display is off, turn on the power switch on the bottom of the display. 2. Press the POWER button.
To turn the display off: 1. Press the POWER button. 2. If the display will be unused for an extended period of time, turn off the power switch on the bottom of the display and disconnect the power.

First make sure it does have at least red indicator on the front panel, if not, the standby +5vdc is not working, common problem with this monitor is dead power supply due to bad caps, shorted transistor and Zener Diode in the standby power supply. http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/Protron%20PLTV%203250/
Hello Bkobert, hi, before going through the set, kindly check first the following.
1. Check your mains AC line.
2. Check your TV plug cable, they may be loose.
3. Also check if the plug has a user fuse.
If ok, then there is a problem with your TV's switching power supply, a fuse on the board may be open, or loose wiring inside.
The symptoms may go to the extreme, like a faulty switching regulator section, which include the power transistor, IC regulatorm dried up capacitors, and low value resistor.
You may also choose to replace the entire board. thats all. keep me posted
Your question is confusing. If you have cable, you don't need a DTV converter box.
If your cable company has switched to digital cable, they will provide you a box, and the cable should go from the wall into the box, then into your TV.
If you don't have cable but instead rely on an antenna, then the wire will go from the antenna into the DTV box, then from the DTV box into the back of the TV. If you're using a regular coaxial cable to go from the DTV box into the television, the TV should be set to channel 3. If you're using the red-yellow-white RCA wires between the DTV box and the television, the TV must be tuned to "Aux," "Line In," "Input Select," or whatever it's labeled on your particular set.
