My ps2 slim type cannot read disk anymore after i use a disk that makes my ps2 cannot read another disk,it display cannot read disk,i dont know whats the reason because almost of my disk will read my ps2, my ps2 only reads the disk that cause it trouble. the other disk that use to be read cant read anymore...

Fat and Slim PS2's generally have different playability with disks. a slim, for example, does not want to play old blue-backed disks, though it will easily read PSX black backs.

Well first off, make sure the disk if in PS1 OR PS2 format. That is what the PS2 Is requesting when it says "Please insert Playstation or Playstation 2 format disk. The Slim PS2 has various problems reading disk.(Don't Know why? I own it and Know it does). The Fat version(1st version) is a much better system, in my opionion. Try blowing air to clean the disk reader. Or changing the disk reader portion out, At a small price.
wait u need to do is find one of the screws on ur ps2 okay now take it out on the opposite side take that on out now find a laser (the thing that reads the game) blow on it or u can do it the less risky way but it does not work as well jut blow into the disck place where u put the disck in
I don't want to put you down or nothing but, buying the slim ps2 wasn't a great idea. If you bought the original ps2 it would've been better. The thing about the thin ps2 is the hd is small, the laser tends to become weaker faster. Go get the ps2 checked out someplace.
Problem : Over Heating of your console. try to check the ps2 cooling system. what the FAN/ blower is work?
If not, there is some fuse protection is burn. pls describe your Motherboard types... Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back should you need additional information.
