Motorola v3i reception problem

I bought a used v3i (gsm) and if you are in a big city it gets good reception but if you leave the city limits it displays no sevice. My old v555 does not have a problem finding server but the v3i does. I thought maybe there is something wrong with the internal antenna but I don't want to spend the money for one if this won't fix the problem. Is there anyway to determine if it's an antenna problem or an internal problem?

If u r still under the warranty window..i suggest u get it replaced...it shud be a transceiver problem ..u cud get a retractable antenna to enhance ur reception

Can i use a motorola razr v3i in the usa

Since this is a quad band GSM phone, it can surely be used in USA. As per my knowledged USA/Canada uses a 850 / 1900 Mhz .

let's put it this way...the first two options u can forget about.if u use a gsm service (sim card) in turkey you need to get a quadband phone and make sure it's unlocked.
most likely choices are the motorola v3, v3i. l7, u6, v3r or v3re
samsung d900, u600,t619,x507,t629, t729
