How can I fix my Panasonic NV VP31 DVD/ Video combo? The DVD player is not working, I put in disc and you can hear the machine trying to read DVD for couple seconds then "0...." displayed on DVD, I manually press play and says on TV "reading" for about 30 secs, then "H07" displayed on DVD for about 5 seconds followed by "No Disc". Can anyone help? I would be very grateful! Thanks

Thanks very much for your suggestion, unfortunately the hairdryer has not worked and now the display goes straight to H07 now. My next step will be getting the motor replaced. Rats! Thanks again.

Cannot play certain dvd discs the make is panasonic model num nv vp33

Panasonic NV-VP33 is a DVD/VCR combo unit. These are good, but limited in DVD media playback formats. It depends on the types of DVDs you are trying to play, and their region codes (if they apply).

This model will NOT play:

DVD-ROM / DVD audio / DVD+R (unfinalised) / DVD-RW / Blu-Ray (obviously).

This model WILL play:

DVD-R (finalised) / DVD-RAM (no finalising required) shop-bought DVD movies / CD-R (for JPEG/MP3/DivX) / DVD-R DL (finalised) / DVD+RW (titled or with a top menu to make them compatible with other players, but again, finalising not required).

You didn't specify which DVDs do not play in your unit.

I would be very concerned if your player didn't read ANY DVDs at all. I assume the image below is what the model looks like. I have never had any problems with mine.

Unlock code for Panasonic NV-VP31 DVD Player

HELLO

I have one of these units and you CANNOT hack the DVD section by the remote alone. However, I got a special remote at
www.genuinecopies.tv

It will only cost you a few pounds and the instructions how to use it are included (and they DO work). You'll then be able to watch DVD's from anywhere in the world!

ENJOY! (:-)

No Free Region Code.

HELLO!
You'll find that quite a number of Panasonic units cannot be hacked via the remote control alone and usually the unit is LOCKED to a certain region. Have a look on this website www.genuinecopies.tv
They sell remotes to unlock the machine and they work! I got one for my NV-VP31 unit.
I wish you luck your problem!

Code h02

HI!
This kind of problem seems to be common on Panasonic. I understand it is linked to the spindle (motor) or optical block (laser).
Try the machine again and see if the disc is spinning as I have heard about many users giving the spindle a good spinning manually to fix the fault or giving the unit a good shake - STRANGE BUT TRUE!
I have a Panasonic NV-VP31 DVD/VCR combi which would not spin the disc so I tried a little spray of WD40 into the motor (where the shaft goes through and into the motor itself). I have had no more problems.
It may be that the unit will have to be taken apart for you get access to the spindle. If you are not good with a screwdriver find someone that is (DO NOT ATTEMPT IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU CANNOT DO THE JOB YOURSELF),
Fingers crossed and hope this helps :)

Panasonic PV-20DF64 20 inch TV/DVD Combo TV can not read disc

If the disc loads up and you can hear it spin, then you get the error, more than likely the optical lens has been damaged. This will have to be repaired by a local shop if its worth the cost. if the part is available it would probably run anywhere from 130-165 to repair

Good Luck!

Panasonic DVD playerS35 error H 07

HELLO
H07 is the fault code for the disc motor and here is what you need to do to remedy it.
The cover of the player will have to be removed to do this. Locate the the actual motor shaft and where it goes into the motor itself, put a little drop of light oil or WD40. Let it soak in for a little while and try it again. I'm sure you will find it now works.
I had this problem on Panasonic NV-VP31 DVD/VCR unit and I have had no more trouble since!
HOPE THIS HAS HELPED - ENJOY!
