Question about Vector VEC 024 400-Watt Power Inverter (VEC 024) 400-Watt Power Supply

I need to find replacement ground (thumb screw) for vector 024

The model is vec-024 and has a blue outer metal cover "force 350" serial number 088665

    i tried but the screw pattern is not the same as most nuts..a 8mm nut will fit on the screw but will only turn once witch leaves about 5/16 of the terminal exposed a 5/16 nut will also fit but will only turn once. "the turn per inch" doesent match

Ground it off on the case...any grounding method should work. Unless you are talking about the main connection terminals... then just replace the missing thumb screw with a short screw and an eyelette type connecter.

    I've got a 350 watt inverter in the barn... (and a 1000 and 2000 as well as I use em in my van customizations) I'll see what will fit it and get back with ya.
    Are you in the U.S. ? I can just mail ya one off of mine maybe , should I not beable to determine what the nut size is. The 350 is on my 'jump pack' for use as portable A/C when needed , and is connected via the lighter plug so I don't use the thumb screws anyways.

No work is done by gravity on a bowling ball that is rolled along a bowling alley because why?
If the bowling alley is perfectly horizontal, the center of gravity of the ball will remain at the same height measured in a fixed system of reference. As you know the gravity force is directed vertically downward. To calculate the elementary work of that force you evaluate the inner product dW= vec(g).differential of vec(5). However since the displacement vector vec(r) remains in a horizontal plane ( Prependicular to the direction of vec(g), and the ball does not bounce and leave the horizontal plane) the angle between vec(g) and vec(r) is equal to 90 degrees. the inner (scalar product is =0).

A simpler way to remember it is that the work is equal to g*(difference in height)

you may find that walmart has those for under 20.00 and a fan is 25.00 and you take a huge risk of electric shock and damage to your car or equipment trying to do a stupid pos inverter, get my drift?

Need to know how many tons this AC unit is
To find out the tonnage, I would need to see the model number. If you can go to the out door unit and write down the number or look for this in the numbers and letters. There are 12,000 btu's per ton of cooling. I don't know if you have a central unit or a window unit, but look for numbers like this. 018, is a 11/2 ton, 024 a 2 ton, 030 a 21/2 ton, 036 a 3 ton, 042 a 31/2 ton, 048, a 4 ton, they don't make a 41/2 ton, and it go's to 060 a 5 ton. This is the largest for a residential that is made. From there they make units for commercial buildings that start at 71/2 tons up to 350 ton's on 10,000' warehouses for wine storage and so on. This is larger then a train box car. You may want to write this down and keep it as most people have no idea how to tell, and now you do. Please don't forget to rate me as I know you will be kind. A ups mosfet ckt one mosfet burnt out og 16 can i replace only one
Usually the mating one has been degraded or damaged as well. Replace as a pair, or all of them that are in the same function.

OFTEN driver transistors and drive diodes are also damaged. Carefully check all associated components to avoid burning out freshly replaced ones.

It does not want to spin without making a lot of noise. What can i do it is only 4 yrs old
If it's a FAV6800A or FAV9800A run a Spin Only cycle with no clothes in

the wash basket. Do you hear noise like metal against metal? If so it could be Outer Tub Bearing noise. Please confirm you model number and first two digits of your Serial Number

When I charge my jump starter, do I have it on or off for it to charge?
off, never leave it on, danger of short if the clamps touch metal, turn it on only when you are using it to help start a car

Does item have a fuse? Burned out
i have the same one ...and i'm not seeing a fuse, there may be one internally
does the inverter have strong "burnt wire" smell if so it is probably fried.

My inverter keeps flashing power to overload low battery I need help solving this problem. Quick overview my sister has a early model pick up that doesn't have heat in it. I had a small desk heater that has these specs ( 120v 60Hz 200 watts ). The inverter powered this heater for about 5 minutes and then the inverter started beeping and alternating from power to overload low battery. she said she smelled something like burning wires but I have the unit apart and can't find anything wrong. I have wired it directly to a spare battery I have and plugged in several things that it still powers but it will not power the 200watt heater anymore. Any ideas I'd love to hear them. Thank you for reading and for any help you can offer.
