Question about SanDisk 1GB Cruzer Titanium USB Flash Drive (413072) Hard Drive

Can't find the cruzer when i plug it in

I love this little gadget. When I would plug it in I could access it by going into " My Computer " where it would appear as F drive. Now recently when I plug it in it doesn't appear. I uninstalled it and plugged it in. Windows found the software as sandisk mini cruzer and then as a disk drive. When I checked in my folder it wasn't there. I found it in the device manager in disk drive along with my hard drive but also showed up in the usb hub. Hope you can help. Stinger

A usb Flash drive gous into a USB port. Just push the thing out and plug it into the USB slot on the front or back of the computer. The computer should detect it immediately. Eventually a little balloon will pop up telling you its ready. Then windows will open a folder so you can store stuff on it.

Remember to click on the systray when you're done, you know where the baloon came from, and "EJECT" the device, or safely remove, then confirm, it will ask.

Never used on before and I'm trying to find out

Its a plug and play removable flash drive (other call this flash disk, memory stick and or pendrive).

The one thing they have in common is that when you insert this gadget in any usb slot in your computer, it acts as a removable drive where you can store and save files. On your computer, this is usually assigned as removable drive (F:).

Plug it and unplug in any computer you want and share the files that you stored in it.

Is this compatable w/windows 7?

The Short Answer to this is Yes. I have one and it works perfectly fine in windows 7. The only thing that does not work is that actual cruzer software itself. By this i mean that little window that comes up on xp comptuers. However you can still access it under my computer and you can still stop the device on in the tray icons. I hope this helps
Thanks
Steven.

Found a 2gb sandisk, don't know what it do

It saves data information on it, from your computer so you can take that information to other computers - in other words it transports information around easily.

Think of these flah drives as a storage device!

Some of the better one's have securities on it, such as:
-> Finger print detectors
-> Passwords
-> Encryption
-> Partitions, meaning that half the unit can be accessed by anyone, and the other half is screened (protected)

They are great little appliances... I love all of my flash drives.

Driver for a CRUZER micro 2.0 #BE07014B

I am just a member like you are, but I like to answer tech questions. I myself don't know very much about how this site works.

If you are using Vista, Win 2000, or Windows XP, your Cruzer should work. If your computer is using Win 98, there may be some issues to make it work.

On the Cruzer site they are supposed to have drivers for all their products.

Your driver, if required, should be on the page listed in the link below:

http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp

If you cannot find what you want on the link above, try the link below. You can contact them directly.

1gb cruzer micro

This is caused by 1 of 2 problems:
  1. Your flash drive is corrupted in some way, forcing the computer to reformat it before you can use it.
  2. The flash drive was formatted for a specific device (like a piano) and was made only for that device.
  3. Your PC incorrectly recognized it
  4. You do not have the correct drivers installed.
If you have problem #4, you can go onto google and search "1 gb cruzer micro drivers".
If you have problem #3, try plugging your flash drive into a different USB port.
If you have problem #2 or #1 (Which it most likely is), then you should try or buy a software application such as PC Inspector, to recover those files. Then you may reformat the flash drive.

However, I found that sometimes, just restarting the computer, and inserting and re-inserting the flash drive sometimes does work. But that's not guaranteed.

Cruzer 2 GB

Right-click on the Sandisk in My Computer and select Format... Click start and wait a little, once it's done you should have access to the entire drive.

Can't use my drive

You might want to try one of two options:

Option A:
1. Plug it in.
2. My Computer > select Removable Disk (if this doesn't work chose option B)

I'm pretty sure that the Cruzer Micro has a software that needs to be installed on the computer to be able to access files.

Option B:
1. Plug it in.
2. My Computer > Open U3 System (this is the application installer for the flash drive.
3. after installing there should be a little icon on the bottom right of the screen thats orange and white click on it and it will pull up an interactive menu for your flash drive.

that should solve your problem.
