I just replace my convergence chips and most of my problems were fixed. There is a faded pink square that overlays the screen except for about 4" on the left and right side. The picture is clear except for that. It is just a little anoying. Is there anything I can do?
That is a unique problem. You might make sure that your mirror and lenses are clean and that nothing has fell in the way of the tubes. There isnt anything else that could come to mind that would cause this.

Hi, This is symptom of bad convergence that happens due to failure of convergence output chips in tv, there are two big black chips attached with big aluminum heat sink that will be replaced to solve tv issue. If you are not familiar with electronics stuff repair then call local tv repairman to replace above said chips to fix the problem. Hope this will help. Thanks.
Hi, It still convergence chip problem, check big resistors nearby these chips that would be open or devalued and causing problem, specially in green convergence area, your green tube/ gun is just fine and just not getting convergence output signal to show correct image. I would suggest to download service manual copy of this tv for small fee from any website and fix the issue with schematics help. Thanks.
Hi, 3 times LED blinks in Panasonic PT-47WX42 shows problem with convergence out chips failure as this tv has two big black ICs STK392-110 as convergence output, replace them to fix tv problem. Click Part Store to see an image of required chip and price info. Local tv tech is recommended if you have no experience of working in tv circuit boards. Thanks.
Sounds like your convergence chips are going. Unless you are real handy with soldering iron I would suggest having a tv repair shop service it(probably cost $200-300). If you are handy then I believe the chips you need are Sanyo STK392-110. There should be 2 of them. be careful if you order them online, there are lots of chinese knock-offs out there.
