Sorry this tv have more trouble than an average person can handle,the buzzing sound u hear that FBT-the Highvoltage Flyback Transformer 100% already dead also other possible components on the Highvoltage Deflection circuitries are dead too,must be troubleshoot by a qualify tv Tech.This tv is not going to be cheap to troubleshoot and repair by a Tv tech.The FBT alone replacement alone,will cost u like $200 already,also troubleshoothing orther electronics components cost U who Know?
I have a 62HM84 Toshiba TV. I lost picture on my TV in the past i have bought the lamps and i just put it on and the picture comes on. This time when i replaced the lamp nothing happens no picture. It tries 8 times to turn on, but nothing happens. Can you help me with is what is the problem.
Sounds like DRY JOINTS WITHIN DFS MODULE.
This is a pcb within a rectangular metal screened box on the left hand side of set when looking from the front.
Will need resoldering be carefull very fine print will need decent soldering iron with fine tip & poss magnyfying lamp to aid looking.
If your not at all sure take to repair shop.
This TV is nice set has one of the best crt pictures you can get.
TRY ADJUSTING THE SCREEN CONTROL ADJUSTMENT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FLYBACK TRANSFORMER.THIS SHOULD REMOVE THE RETRACE LINES AND ANJUST THE HASY LOOK TO THE PICTURE IF NOT YOU HAVE A BAD CAP IN THE SCREEN CIRCUIT .LOOK FOR A 10MFD/250V CAP IF FEEDS THE NECK BOARD ATTACHED TO THE PICTURE TUBE 200V DC.
