Whirpool cabrio does not run or fill

check the power supply to the unit. if no voltage is found on the unit . check the wall outlet.no power at the wall socket ?? check the breaker box for tripped breakers if breaker to the wall outlet is off but good ,leave as is . check for grounds at the unit . if no grounds are present , turn on breaker . if it breaks with the dryer still not plugged in , search for any appliances connected on that line and unplug all. plug in the dryer then start it .if breaker opens , something is wrong with the dryer. call a qualified technician . thanks .

Maytag Altlantis. Filled half way with water and then quit working. Won't fill anymore or agitate . No lights come on.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

If you have not done so already, check the supply socket with a kettle, for instance. If the socket is not working check your fuse/breaker box. If a breaker is out/ fuse blown and you reset/replace please remember that these happen to protect the parts of the washer which are not faulty. It could happen again ;-0(
It could be internal wiring/plugs sockets, control panel switches, control PCB, water inlet control valves, door solenoid as primary suspects. Secondary suspects could be main motor, drain motor.
I fear that your only real option is a service call as the engineer will have the right equipment to safely diagnose what is wrong.

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

MY WASHER FILLED UP WITH WATER, BUT THEN IT JUST QUIT WORKING.

I believe it is your lid switch. I have replaced 3 this week. If you get me the model number i can tell you for sure. Another thing that caused this is the motor to go bad. Do you smell a burning smell when it is trying to run after the fill up? If not get me the model number and i will get you the part number for the lid switch.
