Screen shrinks I recently acquired a Samsung TXL3676 TV. I do not know what year the model is. The person I got it from said it used to set on a concrete floor for a while. The screen shrinks from the left and right sides of the screen. Is this fixable without taking out a small fortune? Thank you, Brian

The tv does not record the program. That is done by a dvr and then PLAYED back on the set.

Onece the plasma heats up it shrinks a little, i think the cause is that you are low on plasma, so when i heats it shrinks and since the plasma cycles, the area low on plasma wil move slowly around the screen, take this to a repairman and more plasma can be added to it.

What sort of "recognization" is your TV showing? Do you get a blue screen but no AV?...accordianman

the person you talked to at samsung is more than likely a customer support rep that does know anything but what his computer tells him. i have seen this symptom several times in many makes and models. if you can give me your full model number i will give you a part number to fix this issue.
