Hardisk problem... I was playing music when the player suddenly just frose, nothing worked at all. I lett it empty the battery it self and recharged it, tried to turn it on but it came up whit "Hardisk problem" in the display. What's wrong? Possible to fix it?? pls help....

    when you switch the player on the screen lights up but nothing happens but you can hear a clicking i have tried the recovery mode trick to no avail it just comes up harddisk fault

    Not only does my player continue to freeze, but I cannot get the recovery mode to even come on. I tried holding down the play/pause button and pressing the reset button but it still did not work.

    There is another problem as well. When I try to download more songs, it says I do not have enough space. I only have 250 songs and the player said it could hold 500. I even got rid of all my pictures and videos to make room for songs but it did not work. Please help! I really don't want to have to buy a new player!

    When i turn on my player, it doesn't boot completely, it stops when screen message "Zen touch" appears. Tried to do what denise said but i have no luck.
    Please, someone help?

    I have fully charged the battery on my Creative Zen Stone MP3 player, but it just stops after a couple of songs, this is constantly happening now. I have charged again, and it happens again - it just turns off and I can't turn it on until charged, then again, only couple of tunes.

    I have the same problem at stated above and I don't want to clear it because it will get rid of all my music. What do i do??

Try holding down the play/pause button whilst pushing a paperclip into the reset hole. you should hopefully then get the choice of several options to try. If that doesn't work you could also try looking on creative american website for instructions for other players - some of these work for different models even when not specified. Good luck!

Do what denise1 said. usually the recovery mode menu comes up. to keep your music already on the player select clean-up. clean-up won't damage the music files.

That could be a short in your mp3. You should be a small hole somewhere on it that says reset. You would need to get a needle or something that thin and push the button inside the hole and hold it for ten seconds. That should fix your system.

My philips gogear vibe wont turn on

Reset your GoGear with something sharp like the tip of a pen or the end of a paper clip,

if you're device isn't working properly or there's a frozen display.

Insert the sharp object into the "Reset" hole (located at the bottom of the player), and hold it there until the device turns off.

If resetting the device does nothing to restore the display, access the "Philips Device Manager" through your computer to recover the GoGear.

Click "Start" on your computer, then "Programs," "Philips Digital Audio Player," "Aria Device Manager," and then "Philips Device Manager."

This will launch the "Philips Device Manager." Make sure the GoGear is turned off completely. Connect your GoGear to your computer while holding down the "Volume Up" button.

Continue to hold the "Volume Up" button on your GoGear, until the "Philips Device Manager" recognizes the device and enters recovery mode.

Click the "Repair" button when it appears on your computer, then folow the steps to fully recover the GoGear.

Properly disconnect your GoGear from your computer and restart the device.

Recharge your device if your GoGear dies suddenly while playing.

Connect the GoGear to your computer via the supplied USB cord.

Plug one end of the USB cord into a functional, open USB port on your computer. Plug the free, smaller end of the USB cord firmly into the small USB jack on your GoGear and turn your computer on.

This will begin the charging process of your GoGear.

If recharging doesn't work, the battery may need to be replaced.

Check that your GoGear isn't in standby mode. Hold the "Power" button for two seconds to turn it back on.

16gb Sansa player that recharges and plays for only 3-4 hours

let your battery run out by leaving you mp3 player play as long as it can....then open up the back of the mp3 player take out the battery and put the battery a freezer for an out or 2 then let it sit out for a day then put it back in the sansa and recharge it and it should either fix it or help add more life span to the charge

Automatic on & off

This sounds like it may have a power issue. I would suggest taking the back cover off to gain access to the battery (should slide off). Next I would remove the battery from your MP3 player for one full minute. Then put the battery back in and check it. If that does not solve it, try recharging if rechargeable or replacing if disposable battery(s) are used.

Okay, I'll discuss your 1st problem first. Check the battery of your mp3 player. Playing songs require a lot of energy.

Secondly, hitting 'format' will empty your mp3 player. So, now that you've formatted it, you download songs and more again and then avoid hitting the 'format' next time if you don't want to lose all your files.

My Insignia Sport Player 2GB wont turn on at all

Hey I have a real problem I have a Insignia Sport Player but I lost my Cd to install it on my computer when i moved... now i can´t add music or even see my music in the computer....
what should i do???

After a few minutes the scroll button of my iriver H10(5GB) starts to scroll down of its own accord.The music is still playing but can't be heard,and scroll button is still clicking. Ray

I don't know yet if I've solved it or not. It has been playing for approx.30mins. without a problem, but
all that I've done is recharge both of the batteries,( which were not showing empty) . What is the life
span for one of these batteries, and why should the music carry on?

No recording message

I was just playing with this little wheel, switchinig from one folger to another, and suddenly it was playing music again. The problem is solved, but I really don't know how. I suspect that somehow the empty folder was turned on. I don't know if there are empty folders to fill with recording or the folder is created after the music was transfered to the player. I would be gratefull for the answer to this question.
