Durbrand BH2004D TV Screen Problem

Horizontal lines are usually caused by a bad LCD (screen)..

Check the video output voltage to CRT board. It might be absend.

Take it back to where you bought it if it's still under warranty, they are obliged to fix it!

The code for GE universal remote for th Durabrand BH2004D is "0157"

Durabrand I believe was either bought out or is owned by Memorex.

Be very careful having kids work on CRT TVs. There's a very large capacitor inside that can store enough electiricty to knock you senseless. Even years after it's been used.

According to the user manual you should be able to clear the code by unplugging the TV and wait about 30 minutes.

For the GE Universal Remote (RC24991-b), 0157 works (for me) with this Durabrand model

If it is only 6 months old you probably still have a warranty. This is definitely a hardware issue, and unless you are comfortable taking your new TV apart, I would contact Samsung for repair.

Most of the time the manuafactirers put the fuse around where the line cord comes into the back of the TV set. are you sure the fuse is bad? Are you thinking the fuse is bad because the TV set will not come on?
