hi you can detached or disconnected the subwoofer cable, for temporary or permanent fix, as the speaker sound also produced good quality sound..

hmmmmmmmmmmm sounds like dell has an o/s discrepancy(no duoooooooooooeiiiiiiiillllllll)

it's the sound card drivers at fault

look at your device manager
start
control panel
system icon

and see who makes that sound card/driver

go to that website and see if they have the w7 version
don't get your hopes up

Reinstall the audio drivers for your computer.

Find them on the CD that came with your computer system or search for them on the Dell website.

it's probably on the floor, it's a box-y looking thing the rest of the speakers should plug into it. it's plugs into the wall so i'd start there and follow all the cords until you find it....

I am recomending to go www. dell.com and go to troubleshooting section for diagnose the computer, the problem I see is driver some missing. You must need to reinstall. By that reason Run the Diagnose from Dell .

You will have to reload the operating system software, be it Windows XP or Vista or 7.

You can download the WEBcam drivers from Dell WEB site,the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop,better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages,the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Seems issue with the drive.
