Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

Is there any way to get my tv channel back on 4 with no remote?

Adding details will get you a faster solution from experts. I have a Magnavox tv/dvd combo and Verizon FIOS. I could not get the FIOS universal remote to program the tv itself and was turning the power on/off manually. (I also could not get a 'cheapy' univ. remote to program, the orig. remote lost in a move) The tv was inadvertently changed from channel '3' to '4' via the cable box. Manually, the channels can only be changed from '2' to 'AUX'. My question: is there any way I can get my tv back on channel '4'?

Try after amke a factory reset to your tV. Normally, aits remote control is needed to make it channel-4.

SOURCE: Synergy V remote - TV power on to last channel viewed - what's the code??

Actually, there is a setting in the cable box for this. You hit the settings button on the remote TWICE, then scroll down to Viewer:Power On. Click on what channel (or last channel) you want it to go to when you power on. Hope this helps. I have the 8300 HDC DVR.

With the converter remote control, you can't unblock the TV. To unblock it, you should have the remote control to the TV.
If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one.

This unit does not have a tuner to receive TV broadcasting. If you have the owners manual on page 26 it explains this. If you do not have the manual here is a link to one.

Need the remote code for a phillips dvd player

These are the codes printed in the owners manual for your dvd/vcr player. If they do not work you will have to contact Emerson and ask them for help getting the code. The contact number should have come with the instructions for the remote. Just give them the model number of you remote and the units model number and they should be able to help you. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Switch the input selector on your TV to an appropriate external input channel (usually near channel 0).
Press a button on the TV’s original remote control that selects an external input channel until the DVD
recorder’s picture appears. Check your TV owner’s manual for details.

DVD input with signal access

IF I understand you correctly, the VCR, Satellite, etc is connected using an RF modulator/coaxial cable wire going into Antenna in

IF this is true, then you have an AV IN port (red, yellow, white) free on the back. Just connect the red, yellow, white from the out of the DVD - you can use 1 or 2 - just remember which one you used; and connect it to the AV IN on the back of the TV.

THEN press ch down on the TV remote until you get to "AV1" - it is below channel 2; double check DVD player to make DVD is playing and voila!

Magnavox MWR10D6 can't record from camcorder wrong channel

OK...try this...plug your RCA cables from your camcorder into the RCA input jacks on the back of the recorder. If you have a VCR, it can be plugged into the coax input on the back of the recorder. Use the coax output and plug it into a RF modulator (about $20 at Wal Mart). Plug the RCA output cables from the recorder into the RF modulator as well (Don't ask me why, but it seems to work on mine). Connect a coax cable from the RF modulator to the TV. Make sure the TV and Recorder are both on the right channel. The RF modulator will have a channel switch to use channel 3 or 4 on the TV. Make sure the recorder is set to E1 (Rear). You can check this with the channel +/- buttons on the bottom right of the remote. Good luck.
