SOURCE: Disc Tray Will Not Eject

Just next to the eject button on the actual recorder there should be a tiny pinhole.  If you use a small paperclip and insert it, then push, you should be able to manually eject the DVD.  Hope this helps!

SOURCE: the dvd player will not eject the dvd

We once had 2 DVDs in the tray (thanks, kids). The tray would not open and had similar symptoms.

We eventually pulled/pried-open the tray (while it was attempting to open by itself, aka you could hear the try motor was activating.)

I'm sure a tech would cringe at this, but it did eventually pop open (with our aggressive help) - and all is well.

Good luck.

SOURCE: DVD slot does not open. Can't insert into it.

Sounds like the dvd door is stuck. Try using a paperclip in the small hole by the dvd door to open manually. Once opened then try to use the button to close. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Go Video DVD will not eject

this suggestion made on this forum worked great for me.
I don't care if it does sound silly.. smack the unit smartly over the eject tray when you press the eject button.

SOURCE: System will not eject video tape and is locked

This unit is confused. The timing may be messed up. Try unplugging the unit for 1/2 hour. This will force a system reset and make the unit go through a complete startup check/reset. This may clear it up. If not, hopefully the symptoms will change slightly. Please post the results of the "reset".

Thanks,
Dan

Every disk that I try to watch on movies shows no disc error message it won't play the movies but it does play musical CDs

There are several possible reasons why your DVD player is not playing movies, but is playing CDs. Here are some steps you can take to try to fix the issue:
  1. Clean the disc: Sometimes, a dirty or scratched disc can cause the "no disc" error message. Try cleaning the disc with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasives.
  2. Clean the DVD player: A dirty lens or other components in the DVD player can also cause problems with reading discs. Try using a DVD lens cleaning kit to clean the lens, or open up the DVD player and carefully clean any visible dust or debris.
  3. Check the disc format: Make sure that the movies you are trying to play are in a format that is compatible with your DVD player. Some players may not support certain file types, such as Blu-ray discs or region-specific DVDs.
  4. Check the connections: Make sure that all cables and connections are securely plugged in and functioning properly. Try using a different cable or port if possible.
  5. Reset the DVD player: Some DVD players have a reset button or option in the settings menu. Try resetting the player to its default settings and see if that resolves the issue.
If none of these steps work, it's possible that there may be a hardware issue with your DVD player, such as a malfunctioning laser or drive motor. In that case, it may be necessary to take the player to a repair shop or consider purchasing a new one.

My DVD tray will not open, and with no disc inside the display says 'reading' constantly. Any thoughts?

The DVD player in model DRC8295 uses a magnet to pull the Disc tray up into position. You can open up the front disc cover and push down slightly on the Disc tray and then push the open/close button to eject the tray. I had to do this on my unit and therefore I recommed leaving a Disc in it at all times. I leave a "Bad Disc" in mine and it opens/closes with no problems.

Dvd wont play ...each time you insert a DVD it shows DVD HO2...

I had the same Problem, player was only 13months old when the error HO2 appeared (typical huh?) anyway 2 years of this thing getting shifted from cupboard, wardrobe, attic, (did'n't want to throw it out cause it cost me £700), finally it came to fix it or bin it time. scoured the net to no avail, lost the rag and half dismantled it..then during all of this ( oops I'm going on a bit LOL)
you can hear a sound as though the disc is trying to be read, after 100's of attempts to get it to work, I finally noticed the disc had not changed position. (disc was not spinning) pointed to the Motor??
what I did to fix this was unplug from main's, remove top cover until you can see the top of the dvd disc, got hold of a pencil with a rubber on one end, plug back in, switch power on, and gently pushed top of disc ( clockwise ) and it kick started it off

that was over 3 years ago and the player is still going strong
I know its a bit rough, but nothing ventured nothing gained ;)

Stops Playing: screen freezes

My friend suggested I clean the dvd optical reader lens inside the player with a fine brush (like a camera brush with a blower bulb). This seemed to help immensely. I'm not certain if this is just a temporary fix, but it seems to be ok so far.

DVD eating discs

It's obvious that the DVD is stuck in the player. There's only one way to get it out! You have to open the DVD player. If you have never done this before, I don't recommend that you do it.
