When i turn on the mp3 player, it takes me to a screen saying "file system corrupted!!" how do i fix that? is there some way to completly reset the device?
I actually fixed this!!! Mine had been giving me the "file system corrupted" error. So, I opened it up (unscrew the screw on the back, pry the back cover off with a small flat head screwdriver or a key, etc.) and saw that the connector between the CF drive and the motherboard had come apart.
I re-inserted the cable into the groove of the connector on the motherboard, pushed the broken/separated piece of plastic that serves as a retainer for the cable back down, held it in place, and taped it down with a 1/4 inch wide strip of duct tape (taped all the way around the connector/cable to help keep it in). I put the Lyra back together and then turned it on... and it WORKED! It came right on into the normal menu! Yay!
Good luck other people, I hope that this is the same thing that happened to your player and that you can also fix it! =)

I have had that problem before but all I have had to do is plug it into the computer and it works again. But this time I can't do anything about it. I really don't want to throw it away either.

rca h125 digital audio player says file system is corrupt.
RCA H125 "file system corrupt" message, computer wont recognize, mp3 shuts off after about 5 minutes, wont go past "RCA" screen. Wont reset.... CAN YOU SAY JUNK...... nothing but problems since day one.
same problem here ...i had no problems with my mp3 at first but the next day i turned it on it said file system corrupted, i heard that it does that when it's getting old so I'm going to go to an electronic store to figure things out
i turned on my mp3 to listen to music and file system corrupted popped up. What do i do?
when i turn it on it says "file system corrupted" and it won't let me do anything. i have tried to reset it but it won't do anything but say that. and i don't know what else to do.
When i turn my mp3 player on, it says system file corrupted.
Had "File System Corrupt!" message appear on my RCA H115A after a bit over a year. PC wouldn't recognize it, and it wouldn't stay turned on.
Following advice (thanks folks), I uncovered the screw under the barcode and popped the back with the help of my knife. I didn't notice that the connection from the hard drive was loose, but pulled it out, wiped everything off, and reconnected. It worked!
They don't give this at the help desk, but it seems to be a common problem with many models. Looks like the connection isn't very tight.
everytime i turn my mp3 on it says " file system corrupted" and that pissed me off because i want to listen to my music.
