I sprayed windex on led tv

Can I fix this before the windex ruins the screen? I already quickly wiped it off with a wet bounty paper towel.

SOURCE: GPS touch screen sprayed with Windex; doesn't work.

After reading sharcnet's reply yesterday that putting the unit in the freezer was absolutely the wrong solution, I was very panicked! However, once the unit thawed out it worked fine. We tried the freezer because we've used that tip before to "freeze-dry" cell phones that got wet. Luckily the LCD was not damaged & everything is working fine now. And my husband knows not to spray Windex on any electronic screen!

SOURCE: my nephew spray windex on my dlp tv

Well I'll say this. There has been no damage done yet. The problem is that the windex has wicked up in between the Lenticular screen and the Fresnel lens screen. If you attempt to seperate both screens yourself then I can guarentee you will damage both screens.
Not cheap to replace both screens. The screens CAN be cleaned with a screen cleaner from Screen Clean but the real problem is finding a Highly qualified technician who has done this many times before. The Fresnel lens screen is EXTREMELY soft and has tiny ridges that damage very very easily and you will see permenant black streaks in the picture. Never use Windex,Amonia or 409 and the like cleaners on the screens. When you use a screen cleaner, spray the cleaner on a MICRO cloth (Very Soft) then carefully clean the scree. Like I said, the screens can be cleaned safely only by a Highly skilled technician. The black spots from the windex will not eventually go away. Contact the tv manufacture as they can direct to a authorized service center they trust.

SOURCE: How to clean 55 inch led tv samsung

these tvs have a thin layer of plastic over the outside of the screen. no chemicals are to be used except for the special screen cleaning solution made for lcd tvs. try purchasing one of those screen cleaning kits from your local electronics retail stores and see if the haze can be removed if not the screen is damaged and there is no fix except to replaced the screen.

I have several large water spots on the lower right corner of the tv from overspray with windex. Can this be fixed?

Not a good idea to clean tv with windex. Try wet towel dipped in mild soap solution. Make sure all water has been removed and towel is only wet. When tv off, try removing the spots. Turn tv on only after tv dry.

How do I clean hanns.g screen?

Do NOT put any sort of cleaner directly on the monitor. If even one drip gets into the seam around the edge of the monitor, it could break and never work again.
The propper way to clean an LCD or LED monitor or TV is to spray a little glass cleaner onto a paper towel, not too much, just a little, (it should feel cool or almost damp to the touch, but not feel wet or saturated) then gently wipe the screen with the paper towel, without applying too much pressure. If it drips, then you've used way too much.

How do i clean outside hitachi prejection tv screen.

Using a lint free cloth, such as a diaper, and windex (no ammonia), spray the cloth to dampen it and using a swirling motion wipe the screen. Finish with a dry lint free cloth. Never use paper towels, and never spray the screen as the liquid can migrate between the different sections of the screen. Let me know if you need more help.

How shoud clean the screen on my locater

Grab some quality paper towel. Then get either a spray bottle of Windex, Spray and Wipe (the one with Orange Oil works well) or some diluted Simple Green.

Spray the cleaner onto the paper towels (not directly onto the screen) then wipe screen clean. Follow with a dry paper towel to remove any streaks or cleaner residue.

Can't print in colour

Hi Paddy,
It sounds like the color ink cartridge is clogged. You can try taking the color cartridge out, and take a paper towel and some windex with amonia. Spray the paper towel with the windex and then take the color cartridge, and wipe the bottom of the ink cartridge. After wiping the bottom of the cartridge, try pressing on the bottom of the cartridge (Print head) with the paper towel...You should start seeing some ink soaking into the paper towel. If you do not see any ink on the paper towel, then try wiping it again with the windex/paper towel. If after a couple tries, you can not get the ink to flow from the print head, then I would suggest getting a new cartridge.
The HP ink cartridges can get a bit tricky and the print heads will clog when the printer is left sitting for a long period of time.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
