Picture suddenly totally Gone!

We were watching CSI (right at the key part), and suddenly the picture was gone. Audio is fine. 10 minutes earlier, the picture had gone snowy for a few moments; thought Cable Company was having trouble with that channel only because we dropped down a channel and it was OK, then back to CSI and the picture was fine. But now didn't matter which channel - no picture. We tried a DVD (different input channel, different cables) and same problem, no picture whatsoever, audio OK. The red power light stays lit steady. Did a full power down, including unplugging from the wall and let it sit 30 seconds with no cables plugged in. Still stuck. Pretty big to fit in the car to haul off for repair...

Sound suddenly stopped on my lg tv

The Video (Picture) is SEPERATE from the Audio component of the TV. One can work when the other has gone south. From what I see, the Audio controller board may have been damaged somehow and needs to be replaced. Contact a serviceman for details.

JVC LT-52P789 no picture just sound

If this is an LCD TV, show a flash light on the screen from a safe distance. If you can see picture, it means the backlights have gone off and the TV might need servicing.

I have a Samsung LN-T1953H TV and the sound suddenly stopped working. We were watching a DVD and suddenly no sound. The TV picture still works fine but there is no sound. on any of the connections or...

It sounds like the main board has gone out. The only audio components are the main board, wiring and speakers. Since audio is missing from external speakers as well, that tells you that the main board is at fault. The cost of the board could be from $150.00 to almost $300.00 depending on the version # of your unit and dealer mark up. You can call 1-800-samsung for nearest service center.

TV works fine for a while, then the picture disappears.

I would just replace the TV, the parts are not going to be made to repair this. The set is just to old.
