I have a Sony DCR-DVD92.
I recently finalised a double sided JVC DVD-RW disc. Every thing seemed to work ok initially as no error messages were apparent. When I tried to veiw the disc side A refused to load and the message disc error remove disc and the flashing code C:13:02 is shown in the top right corner of the display. I tried to view the disc through my DVD player and on my computer alas to no avail.
It is all video moving pictures (no stills). I know the data is on the disc as i viewed it before it was finalised and side B is fine.
Please help as it the video is my friends wedding ceremony and is the only copy!!
I accidentaly dropped my camcorder and now get error message c:13;02 when I try to access the disk. The camcorder works fine on all other disks for both record and playback, so the disk itself is obviosly damaged in some way. There is material on the disk (video) which I really need. Is there any way of recovering it?I accidentaly dropped my camcorder and now get error message c:13;02 when I try to access the disk. Check for smudges on the disc or on the laser optic sensor.

If a FORMAT ERROR message is displayed,
then the inserted disc is not formatted or it is recorded in a
different format not useable by the camcorder. If using a DVD-RW or
DVD+RW, format the disc prior to use. Otherwise, use a different disc.
Does your camera have other outputs, i.e., composite-video and L/R audio ?
If the disk "plays" inside your video-camera, then use a "video-capture" USB device, to "play" the movie into the USB device, and "record" from the USB device into your computer.
I am just throwing these out there as food for thought.
Make sure you ended the recording on that other side. If a DVD is left open(meaning more could be written to it) other dvd players have a hard time reading the info. Put in one of the 2 sided disc's that worked. how does the camera recognize the disc? Then insert the troubled disc and see if the disc info is being read the same. i.e. disk size, manufactuer, open/closed?
Check for a firmware upgrade for your DVD burner/player(s).
Let me know how things work out.
