Question about Canon FAX-L350 Plain Paper Laser

Fax not receiving

Hi There, I have a Canon Fax-L350. It is not receiving or sending faxes. I have checked the line and have a dial tone. If I call from my mobile it picks up and I get the fax line. I have tried faxing from another machine to it - failed and have tried faxing out - failed. It is set for in fax only mode and I have checked the connection. Any ideas anyone? Cheers Alan

Sounds like you have done a through job troubleshooting and its reacting like it should. Try this first press data registration and press # press down arrow to clear and press set scroll down to ALL and set. This will wipe out all programming. Then try sending. If it still reacts the same. You may need to change the main board

Canon faxphone L100 I am receiving faxes, but I have been unsuccessful in all my attempts to SEND a fax. I either get #018 Busy/No Signal or "Stop" error message. I have a dial tone.

The #018 code indicates a problem connecting to the receiving fax machine.
That phone line maybe busy or disconnected. It can indicate that the receiving machine didn't answer and provide the expected fax tones within 35 seconds. The settings for your fax machine may be incompatible with the receiving fax machines settings. The L100 Fax Phone is compatible with G3 fax machines. (The communication issue between compatible machines means that they do not successfully handshake before the fax can be sent. It's like one machine is speaking Greek and the other Mandarin Chinese.) Check with the person to whom you are sending the fax and make sure that they aren't having telephone issues. Ask if the fax machine is ready to receive the fax. Also check that the two fax machines are compatible with each other.

If you are sending the fax to someone in a different country, you need to add a pause between the country code and the fax number. The Fax Phone needs a pause here to ensure proper dialing.

I hope this helps. You can get some information on fax problems from the Canon Knowledge Base, https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART152562&cat=5258B001&actp=LIST&showDraft=false and the Fax Machine Basic User Manual. None of our faxes are going out and we receive error number 87

set the fax so you can hear dial tone... if no dial tone then check the fax line.... if fax line plugged in... plug it out of the fax and plug into a phone... if still no dial tone then change fax cable... if dial tone... then call your cell... if static... fax wont work call phone company... if you get a funny signal call phone company...

Can't send or receive fax [email protected]

Check the cable, i.e. plug an analogue phone into the cable and listen for a dial tone. If none, are you plugged into a digital line?

If a dial tone is heard, is it an intermittant dial tone (message waiting) because this can stop the fax from working. If so, resolve this and try again.

Do you need to dial a number to get an outside line? If so this needs to be entered before the fax number on outgoing faxes.

When I hit hook to send a fax I hear a click but I get no dial tone and the same on receiving a fax MP830

You only hit hook to hear the dial tone or use the machine like a speaker phone. To send a fax you press fax start. If you can't hear a dial tone when you press hook, there is something wrong with the phone line connection, or it's plugged in to the wrong plug on the machine. The phone line goes into the one marked with an L, the other with the pic. of a phone is for an additional telephone.

Your fax machine is not getting a dial-tone.

Plug a regular phone into the wall jack and listen for a dial-tone
Make sure the phone line is hooked into the LINE port of your fax machine.
Unplug the power cord for 10 seconds.
