Locked phone I have a palm and i have forgot my password to unlock it. How can i reset it or unlock it

If you locked your screen and cannot remember your password or PIN to unlock the screen, you need to perform a full erase of your phone.
A full erase deletes all data stored on your phone, including third-party apps, pictures, downloaded music and videos, and documents stored on the USB drive. After the erase, you can restore any data that was backed up to your Palm profile, including sync account info (Google and/or Exchange) and third-party apps.
To reset your phone and restore data, do the following:

1. From the Pin Incorrect or Wrong Password screen, press and hold Option + Sym + power and continue holding for 10 seconds after the Full Erase screen appears.
2. After the phone reboots, sign in to your Palm profile to restore to your phone any data that was backed up to your profile.

If you forgot the password or don't know the security code, You have to master reset the phone. Contact your service provider to get a master reset code at free of cost....You can also visit http://www.unlock-zone.com/ and can see different options there to get unlock code for a price. Choose any price appropriate for you.

There are 2 scenarios that I could see:

1. You had forgotten your password and your centro demands that you enter it so that you can access its features; and
2. You had forgotten your password but you are still able to access the phone's features because it is not locked.

If we're in scenario 1, I'm afraid the only resolution that i can see is to hard reset the centro. There would not be a way around the password lock.

You'd be luckier if we have scenario 2. You'd just need to do these:

1. From the applications screen, open 'Security'
2. Tap on the password box which should say 'Assigned'.
3. Tap on 'Lost Password' on the dialog box and then "yes'.

You will have to do a Hard Reset to unlock the phone. See Article 887 on the Palm Support site and follow the instructions there.

I am not a big fan of sprint and definitely hate calling them but, when I forgot my password, I was able to take it to a local store and they unlocked it. but they could not tell me what the password was..

do you mean locked to a network /provider? or locked meaning security usercode locked?

you can do a hard reset to unlock but you lose all your info unless you have synced it with a computor, im sorry this is the only way to unlock it :\
