Aren't MP3 players not supposed to work after a year...? Apparenlty. Someone said it to me once that they're programmed to stop working after a year. Don't see why to be honest with you, but it might answer you. lol. Sorry if it's not.

How do you get your 6700 to play music etc on the headphones

Hello,

Your phone includes a media player for listening to songs and viewing video clips. Music and video files stored in the music folder in the phone memory or on the memory card are automatically detected and added to the music library.

To open the media player, select Menu > Media > Media player.

Music menu Access your music and video files stored in the phone memory or on the memory card, download music or video clips from the web, or view compatible video streams from a network server (network service). To listen to music or play a video clip, select a file from the available folders and Play.

Snoy NW-E105

I had the same problem and struggled with it for some time. I forgot the format feature on the device itself and kept formatting from my pc. This won't work.

The solution:

1. Unhook your device from the pc by pulling out the USB cable.
2. Click the "Menu" button 1 time (found on the back of your NW-E105 player).
- This will show "Display"
3. Click the " |<< " button 3 times (the button to rewind track).
- This will show "Format"
4. Click the Play/Stop button 1 time.
- This will show "Format: N"
5. Click the " |<< " button again 1 time.
- This will show "Format: Y>
6. Click the Play/Stop button 1 time (wait for "really?" prompt), click it again.

Now your device is formatted and will play the files you add to it.

Sony NW-A605

Hi Neo Miguel,
Well first, some of the songs that you put in, well...Sony Co. (Sonicstage) cannot transfer directly, so you would have to use their Sonicstage program, aka the converting button.
Like most Sony mp3 players, you need to use Sonicstage to put songs in the mp3 player.

For the Sony NW-E405 (or the NW-A605), simply go to the Transfer menu at the top right of the program, (along where the My Library button is) and select the song. In the middle of the screen should be arrows along with a suitcase looking button. Click the luggage button and a screen should pop out. It should have two choices, a Standard Transfer Mode and a Specified bit rate transfer mode. Click the Specified one and select either the 105kbps (ATRAC 3) or the 132kbps (ATRAC 3) for great sound quality and small memory usage. The others are too big or too bad for sound quality. It should now work.

Now the mp3 player should be able to read it, since it is now in ATRAC 3 version, not the mp3 version.

Hopefully this solution helped.
Have a nice day!

For the songs with no data, the songs are unquestionably banned from the Sonicstage program either because of illegal data in the mp3 songs or the corruption of the data itself. It happened to me quite a lot.
You could try converting it like the top section...some of those songs worked.

Hopefully this solution helped.
Have a nice day!

Sony NW A3000 Walkman

Follow these steps- - Open the Sony Walkman from "My Computer". - Open the folder inside, then delete all the "DAT" files. - Open the second foler which is inside the first foler and delete all these files. - Close that and then open up "SonicStage" - Now delete all the files from your library, but, DO NOT delete them from your computer. - Now import all the songs again and it should pick up the device and start to transfer with no problems. I have done this with my Sony Walkman and it now works. If you experiance more problems contact me at [email protected]
