Most likely the power capacitor is shorted. If you know someone that is just alittle familiar with electronics, they will know what to look for.The part will look like a somewhat long large silver 9v battery with two metal leads.Normally toward the back of the microwave and below the cooling fan. With a volt-ohm meter this capacitor can be checked.on the meter if you get a reading ,its bad, if you get no reading(open), its most likely good.Ninety percent of the time it will be bad.If it is, just replace with the same value and your ready to go.

In most cases, this is a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.
Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.
I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer. You can find one here:

Our technician suggest that there may be a problem with the Inverter Board in this model, which is something that would need to be looked at by a Service Center.
In rare cases it could be the door switches.

The problem I had experienced with the Door not opening easily will be resolved by removing the micowave oven top cover with a tamper proof torx head, replacing the door switch and reinstalling the top cover.
