Question about Canon PowerShot A80 Digital Camera

Blurness of the LCD of my Canon A80 Camera

The LCD of my digital camera suddenly goes blurred. I do not see any image on the LCD when trying to shoot a photograph. I only see some funny pinkish colors with a bar-chart kind of graph on and when the picture is taken and I took it to the laboratory for processing, I do not see anything except the colors. What could be wrong? I heard this could be due to climatic changes but I doubt it. Does anyone have a clue what could have gone wrong and how I can fix it?

Viewfinder shows blurred images

First, rotate the mode selector dial to "Auto", then check to ensure that you're not in macro mode. Also make sure that your lens is clean and there are no smudge marks.

If you've done all the above, and you're still getting blurred images, this then might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Blurred and distorted view of the subject

Its possible that there is a CCD issue with your camera. I've been reading more and more people are having CCD issues with the S1-IS. The CCD is the part of the camera that captures the image, and usually they distort or do some funky things with the pictures. Its entirely possible they would knock something out of focus.

Canon Powershot A75 blurred LCD display

It sounds like the focus element in your lens is not functioning properly. Does the lens retract completely when you turn off the camera? When you push the button does the camera attempt to focus the image? If you do not see any change in the image when you push the button, and do not hear any sound - then your focus motor is either jammed or malfunctioning. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
