Mac, does your model number start with 362? If so there was a service flash on this model concerning the wiring harness. Issue was the wires becoming soft and contacting the metal, blowing the breaker. I don't know if this is happening to you. You can contact GE at 1-800-326-1076 to see if your model is under this flash. Otherwise you are going to have to check the power at the terminal block (where the cord connects) to see if you have the correct power going to it. Remove the terminal metal cover. You should have 120V from each end to center and 240 across the two outer terminals. If you don't have this you have a power issue. Catriver..post back.

I have a Maytag Gemini double gas range circa 2005. After a power outage, the electronic control panel on the front never came back on. Tried unplugging and plugging back in, no luck. Doesn't respond to...

Try turning breaker all the way off and then back on at breaker box. Do the top burners work? If cook top works and oven display doesn’t have than the clock display board needs to be replaced

I want to reset the oven

Gas or electric? If electric are you sure you have power. Double check the breaker. Turn of and back on. If it pops, you have a wiring problem, the breaker is bad (yes they do wear out). If Gas, make sure you have power to the outlet that serves the stove. If no power the system will not work. If no power to the outlet, again check the circuit breaker for that outlet. If these things don't help check your owner's manual and it's troubleshooting.

No codes show . clock does show. oven and ceramic top quit working ?

A brand and model number would be helpful, but if it's an electric range, it is possible 1 side of your 240 Volt outlet may be open. Try this first: Go to your circuit-breaker box and find the circuit breaker for your range. It would be one of the large, double breakers, marked 30 or 40 amps. If they are marked, turn the one for the rang all the way off, wait a few seconds, then push it back on hard. If in doubt, turn off one of the large double circuit breakers, then go check the lights and clock of your range. If they are off, you found the right circuit breaker. Turn it back on (hard) and go try it again. If it still doesn't work, you really need to have an experienced appliance repairman check out the range. It could be a loose wire at the junction box, or a thermal fuse or cut-out device, or a bad electronic oven control.

Electrical panel does not work

Hey John, this is JK. I understand that the display on your range is not working. You may have a faulty Electronic Oven Control (EOC). Please confirm there is power to the appliance. If there is no power verify that the power cord is properly attached to the unit, plugged into a dedicated outlet correctly, and that the circuit breaker/fuse is not tripped or blown. Also verify the power at the plug is correct. Is the time of day displayed when the clock button is pressed? Are you able to turn the clock OFF or ON? When the display is turned OFF the time of day will re-appear for a few seconds any time the pad is touched. To toggle the display ON or OFF, press and hold the CLOCK button until the control beeps once (about 15 seconds). If all of these suggestions pan out and the problem still persists, think about what may have happened prior to this occurrence. For instance, did you notice any error codes, odors, or other strange functions prior to this issue? If you are still having these issues and can think of anything in particular, please feel free to reconnect. Hope this helps!

Frigidaire GAS range

Hi Jo, thank you for your question! Let's try resetting the appliance by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn the unit back. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, your range could possibly have a faulty EOC (electronic oven control) or a potential wiring failure. I would suggest contacting an experienced service technician to determine the precise cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

No electrical power to ovens and control panel.

It appears that you have lost one half of your power. That is you no longer have 220 volts but do have 110, enouch to power the electronic ignition. I would check the circuit breaker first to see if it is sending power on both hot wires or just one.

Spacesaver powers off 2 seconds after resetting clock and time...

The clue is that you have to reset the clock. You are losing power somehow. the Main Board thinks it is being unplugged and it resets the clock and you have to start all over. The fact that after so many times it will finally work tells me that whatever bad connection you have is finally getting hot enough to expand and make a good enough connection to keep working. Intermittant connections are the worse to find. A lot of trial and error to find the problem. can be bad fuse and fuse holder ( in the unit), bad outlet, loose wire at circuit breaker, loose wire at outlet. Even a loose breaker where it snaps onto the buss bar in the Breaker Box. Etc, it an really drive you nuts trying to find it. Try the unit in a totally different area making sure it is on a compleately different circuit breaker and see what it does, if the problem follows the unit, the problems is in the unit. If not, electrical problems, outlet, breaker, panel,

Jenn-Air Gas Range SEG196 NO CLOCK/DISPLAY

THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR THE BAD DISPLAY IS TO REPLACE THE CLOCK. I HAVE A JENN AIR OVEN TODAY AS A WORK ORDER TO REPLACE THE CLOCK FOR A FAILED DISPLAY.

FOR THE JGW8130DDB WITH NO POWER ANYWHERE, IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A SUPPLY PROBLEM. MAKE SURE THE WIRING IS HOOKED UP WITH THE RED AND WHITE WIRES RECEIVING 240 VOLTS AND THE WHITE WIRE ATTACHED TO NEUTRAL / GROUND.IF THE OVEN HAS A BARE COPPER WIRE AND THE HOUSEHOLD WIRING ONLY HAS THREE WIRES, COMBINE THE WHITE WIRE AND THE COPPER WIRE TOGETHER AND ATTACH TO THE HOUSEHOLD NEUTRAL / GROUND .
UNLESS YOU ARE SURE ABOUT THE HOOKUP IN THE BREAKER/FUSE BOX, DO NOT GO SIMPLY BY THE COLOR OF THE WIRES.
