I f your washer is taking 5 hours to wash, then you have a problem. try a 40 degree wash , it should complete within the hour. I f not , then you need to call someone.

Ours is 47 mins on aquick wash, and one hour 10 for a normal wash. ... that's fine for every day stuff provided I don't fill it more than about half full. .... white shirts do not get clean at just 40 degrees and that takes 2hr 5 inutes xx ...

The manual says wash number 5 takes 60 minutes the only shorter cycles are numbers 9 & 10 which take 55 minutes but they are cooler washes for wool and silk with a spin speed of 800rpm the number 5 has a spin speed of 1400rpm.

Sounds like you have a heater problem. Program 5 should take around an hour and 6 should be around 30 min, both with the heater on according to asko's manual. So I would get the heater element checked.
