Thanks for all your help. Can i ask another question? How do you print out your plu desctions onto the keyboard sheets? Is there a labeling program?

    Thanks again

Just wondering if you caould also tell me how to create a "to Go" button that will subtract tax on food to go?

    Thanks

  • gjones001 Nov 19, 2008

that does work on the tax issues. However inthe book it states that under :allocatable functions" there is a takeout - Use this button to specify if the customer takes out items. Before total a transaction. Press this key for the tax exemption. Any ideas how you set up a Allocatble function?

    Thanks

Hi.
That's not good. Your dealer should have set up all of the necessary system options in the machine when you bought it. Did you buy it new with your products entered by a dealer?

    Ok.
We'll see if it has it's programming intact first.

Turn the key to PROGRAM or PGM mode.
Turn the power off at the wall.
Hold down RECEIPT FEED button (make sure it's receipt feed, not journal feed).
Turn power on at wall - keep holding RECEIPT FEED.
When you see 'FFFFFFFFF' on the display, let go of receipt feed.
    Press SUBTOTAL.

    It should print a receipt.
I need you to type out what you see on that printout for me, then we can go to the next step.

Ok. It might have enough to continue. I'd like to try some prints to make sure.
Check that you have plenty of paper in it, then do the steps below. It will print a lot of info, but don't worry, you don't need to tell me what it is. Just look quickly down the print outs, and see if names have rubbish/garbage in them such as question marks or scrambled characters.

    Turn key to program.
1 SUBTOTAL SUBTOTAL (press it twice) - wait for print.
2 SUBTOTAL SUBTOTAL - wait for print.
3 SUBTOTAL SUBTOTAL - wait for print.
4 SUBTOTAL SUBTOTAL - wait for print.
5 SUBTOTAL SUBTOTAL - wait for print.

That is all of the programming on paper, so you can see how complex they are.

Ok. The prog's a dead Duck.

To reset, I need to know:

    1. What country are you in?
    2. Do you have a bar code scanner or any other devices connected?
    3. Your date format (DDMMYY, MMDDYY etc)
    4. If you need to use special operator logins each time an operator makes a sale (usually only used if you pay staff on commission).

    Ok.

    Turn power off at wall.
    Turn key to program mode.
Hold JOURNAL FEED down (not receipt feed like last time)
    Power on at wall
Wait until you see 'LLLLLLLLLL' or '00000000' on display.
Type in 20420 on the number pad.
    Press SUBTOTAL.
Wait a few seconds. If you don't see 'P1' on display after 20 seconds, press SUBTOTAL again.

Now turn key back to REG or REG1 mode. You will need to log an operator on. You should see clerk buttons near the key up the top. Just press clerk1 button. Now you should be able to enter sales by typing a price (without decimal point) and pressing a PLU (item buttons to the right of number pad), then press CASH to finish and drawer will open.

Let me know how you get on.

There is no keysheet software that I'm aware of. Everyone I know just creates the sheets in Excel by making boxes and joining them into a grid.
You may be able to use discounting to remove tax. I have never had to program any tax removal on these.

    Try this:
Go to REG mode and enter a few items. Press SUBTOTAL. Now type the amount of tax to be removed and press %- button (sometimes just called % or %1), then press SUBTOTAL again. You should see the amount less tax.

Sorry, I've never had to use it, so I would have no idea. It is an obscure function . Feel free to try setting it up if you like, but I can't be of help as I would have to spend an hour or so at a machine.

Someone has been fiddling with function key names. Do a program print out of PGM2 mode and find which name has been changed to =w/ in the list. Program it back to original.

You may have lost all of the programming.
I need to see the MAC code.

Turn key to PROGRAM mode.
Turn power off at wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED down.
Turn power on at wall.
When you see 'FFFFFFFFFF' on display, let go of RECEIPT FEED.
Press SUBTOTAL

Now look at the print out and tell me what the big number is right at the bottom.

Casio te-2200 set up!

Hi.
Yes, that's the problem alright. you said it in the first sentence. It hasn't been used for a while. Therefore, no one would have replaced the batteries as they weakend from sitting, so now you have memory corruption which means you have lost everything from the machine. It must be fully RAM cleared and re-programmed. I hope you have a backup, or there may be a lot of work ahead. If your dealer programmed it originally, they will probably have a backup of your prog to dump into it.
