My TV has just started to repeatedly ask if I want to start automatic tuning. There is still a signal coming in, be it via the aerial or the Sky Scart lead. I have tried saying no and then removing the menu, or saying yes and going through the automatic tuning process. Either way after 5-10 minutes, sometimes even less, the big Sony logo comes up and then it asks about tuning again, over the top of the picture. Any ideas?
I would try first unplugging the set for about 30 seconds to see if that clears up the problem. If not, then it could be anything from a bad connection or component inside the set, and with it being made by a 4 letter word company, pitch it and get a different brand set. Check out epinions.com before plunking down the money on another model first. May save some headaches later.
