My Acer Aspire one notebook screen wont turn on

I bought the notebook today and the battery light is green to show the battery is fully charged, but the screen will not turn on.

    at first the screen has no light but there is page display on it. but when i troubleshoot it the screen become white.. is it the flex or i have to buy a new LCD????

    I just bought my new acer aspire one, and it does not work. I have never seen it work, and i am very disappointed.

    i have the same issue its not mine, its my brothers but the screen doesnt work at all, i can tell it still boots because i can hear the hard drive, but if your screen is turning white, it might get worse so excpect it. Anyone try going to the manufacturer if you still have the 1 or 2 year warrenty.

The link below tells you how to flash the bios and will make you Aspire One work again. I just did it to mine and it took about 1 min to get it to work. Good luck!

My battery indicator won't turn green when it is fully charged.what is this issue?
It is possible one of the battery cells has degraded enough the battery is not showing a full charge, or there is an issue with the green light, but this is minor provided everything is working.

when orange light is on it means it is charging and to know whether your system is charging just look at battery symbol where you will find a wire symbol on battery which show it is charging and when charge is complete orange light turns blue

My aspire one d-250 battery doent charge
My problem was: Although the Batt Light shows the "charging" the desktop indicators show the battery is at 100%. If you dscinnect the power supply the computer dies.

SOLUTION: I found this worked on both occasion it happened to me occasions.
1. Shut down the netbook.
2. Remove battery for +- 15 min.
3. Replace battery.
4. Do not switch on netbook, ie boot up, until charge light goes to green ie indicates fully charged.

I have an acer aspire one notebook. lost the cord. batt ran dead all the way. bought aa new charger & it won't turn on. what is wrong?
What you should do is charge the battery all the way up first WITHOUT turning on your notebook.
Usually when charging a light will appear - when that light has disappeared your notebook is fully charged and it should now turn on.

Completely blank screen when power is on.
do a hard reset....remove charger>remove peripherals>remove battery> press and hold the power button for about 30secs, while batt and charger is removed> then plug in the charger only and turn ON!

Acer aspire 5050 can't turn it on
If you dont see any green lights and you dont hear any boot up sounds ( hd, fans, etc) try to take out battery and just plug in the AC adapter to a known good power outlet. Make sure your power plug is good too. If you hear boot-up sounds, see green lights but no display then toggle on the "fn" key and or try on an external monitor.
