Question about Siemens SpeedStream 6300 (33A6300001) Wireless Router

1 Answer

Xbox live I have 3 computers and 2 xboxs set up on my router. In order for xbox live to function properly you need to open ports 88, 2074 and 3074. Ive assigned a specific ip to my xbox and opened those ports. Ive also assigned another ip to my 2nd xbox but it seems that I can only open these ports for 1 ip. When I try to open them for the other it says "Entry containing one or more of the requested ports already exists" Is there any way around this? any suggestions?

You are better allowing your router to set the IP address automatically not doing it manally, i have no ports open other than for 'U Torrent' and can connect to live no problem

There should be an option for AUTO settings. Make sure that is selected and it should fix your problem. If not, post here again and I'll help further.

Xbox Live connection problem

Hi,
In this regard, I would recommend you to forward certain port no’s on
the Router.

Port numbers: UDP- 88, TCP/UDP- 3074

It is in this context, I would suggest you to please try with the
following troubleshooting steps:

A) Assign static IP and DNS address to the XBOX.

1. Assign IP address as: 192.168.1.50; Subnet mask as: 255.255.255.0
and Default Gateway as: 192.168.1.1
2. Assign Primary DNS Address as: 192.168.1.1 and Secondary DNS
Address as: 4.2.2.2

# Please Contact X-Box Technical Support to assign the Static IP
Address on Your X-Box.

C) Open the ports on the Router using the following steps:

1. Click on Port Forwarding under Advanced.
2. Click on ‘Port Forwarding’ on the left hand column on the screen.
3. On the bottom of the screen, click on ‘Add Custom Service’.
4. Give a name to the service (for example, XBOX1).
5. Select Service Type as UDP and key in the starting port and ending
port as 88.
6. In the Server IP Address specify 192.168.1.50
7. Hit ‘Apply’.
8. Click on 'Wan Setup' Under 'Advanced'.
9. Check the box 'DMZ Server'. Type in the IP Address 192.168.1.50.
Click On 'Apply'.
10. Log Out of the Router Page.

Please repeat Steps 3 – 7 to configure the ports “UDP/TCP 3074”.

Change NAT to open

You should first reserve an IP address for your Xbox in your router DHCP server settings. If it is not possible to make a reservation, you should assign a static IP to your Xbox and excluse that address from the router DHCP server.

Then, you should set DMZ to point to the IP address you just reserve for your Xbox.

You should be set!

Change NAT to open

You need to open all the ports for the xbox live. The NAT of that router model cannot be configured to open. Its just a simple NAT for internet connection.

Check the configuration that you have set on the port opening of your router. Check the IP address that you assigned to the port and should much with the IP that you have for your xbox.

Opening nat

You just need to enable port forwarding for the ports that the xbox live is using, specifically these ports:

UDP 88
UDP 3074
TCP 3074

You then assign a the static IP you have set on your router, subnet, gateway and dns on your xbox and that should allow your xbox live to work properly with your router.
