You have to use My Sirius Studio as the interface to your S50 to add/remove MP3 songs. Depending on your Windows version (hopefully 2000 or later) you should be able to connect via USB and Windows will autodetect the device.
My Sirius Studio is a poor man's iTunes where you have to add music files before you can drag them to the playlists you created on your S50.
You can download the software from the Sirius web site, including the latest update.
Keep in mind you have to disconnect the S50 from My Sirius Studio. You can't copy files to it and then unplug the USB cable.
Note: My Sirius Studio software is backward compatible, i.e. if you are currently running V1.0.2 for S50, you can install V1.1 on top of the current version and it supports both the S50 and Stiletto 100. If you have uninstalled V1.0.2 or previous versions of My Sirius Studio and reinstalled V1.1, you need to install the S50 driver in order to use with the S50.
You can download the S50 driver from the Sirius web site if you need it.I just saw this on the Sirius web site.

Does the MP3 player charge when it is plugged into the system? if not then you may need a different USB lead, if it DOES charge, it may be the case that the device is formatted in a way that prevents computers (or playstations etc.) accessing music without certain software. my personal solution for this was to put all of your music from your computer onto a USB stick and copy it over to the PS3. You can copy music from iTunes by selecting tracks and pressing CTRL+C, I believe the same applies in windows media player
This worked on me:
I just plugged the USB conection to my "Phillips DVD player with USB conections" insted of plugging it to my PC. So I just played a song on my DVD player and when I stopped the song, turned off the DVD player... I unplugged it from the USB port and !!!!! appeared again what I was waiting for so long: The welcome screen "Every moment has its music." plus the "Creating Library" And finally I said "THANKS GOD!" *** I tried many ways to find a solution (pressed the RESET buttom, charged the battery... but nothing happened... my screen was totally black = OFF). Well.. I hope this is helpfull for all of you.
I had the exact same problem happen to me yesterday with my S50. My guess is that the software got corrupted somehow. I fixed mine last night be reinstalling S50 software via USB cable to my PC. Note: You need My Sirius Studio application loaded on your PC. Be sure to press Exit button on My Sirius Software Ap after you reinstall S/W. Patiently wait for S50 to 100% complete before disconnecting. Then, manually turn on S50 (while holding in your hand); do NOT put in car/home dock yet. S50 will then update S/W. When this completes, now you can put in dock. I don't exactly recall, but I think the S50 indicated the dock was being updated, then it defaulted to channel 184 indicating to call Sirius to subscribe. Since I already have a subscription in place on my S50, I just pressed channel 2 (The Blend) from my remote, and then my S50 began updating all channels. Success! I'm so happy my S50 is now working again! Good luck to others experiencing same problem; hope this helps! I can only imagine the frustration trying to get help from Sirius folks for this type of problem...
Remove the back and check and see if the battery isn't fully connected I put a folded peace of paper and put it on top of the battery
and put the back on.
Usb mode is in settings push center button choose between msc or mtp....
MSC
will allow you to see the expansion card mtp won't.....MTP shows you your music folder in the media folder thats where you put your music
plus expansion.....If no usb mode the player is manufactored to be in msc mode
make sure your usb 2.0 driver
is installedMSC is best reate a music1 folder and put music in there then there is no switching back and forth to mtp msc
simply install the pc suit for which ever phone you wish to transfer music from your computer and conect the usb cable whenever it asks you to conect or you can simply use bluetooth if it is available most times located in phone settings through conections
I assume from your description that either you are running a version of Windows older than XP/2000 or you need a special driver. Here is a link for the driver(s) you will need. Just enter your model number and select your version of Windows. Download and run the file and you should be up and running shortly.
I had the same problem - you need to install the latest Blackberry USB driver software on the PC/laptop you are trying to charge it with. They should be on the CD you got with the Blackberry (you don't need to install all the software if you don't want to - just the USB drivers). This enables the USB ports to allow enough power to charge the device when it's connected.
If you don't have the CD, do a quick Google for "Blackberry USB driver" and download the most up-to-date ones you can find.
Do you have windows xp for os ???? If so deinstall your printer on your computer and disconnect your usb connection.
First install the driver by putting your cd in your computer...Some product will tell you when to connect your usb cable to your computer...if not, make sure your driver is correctly install. After, reboot your PC and plug-in your usb cable and power up your printer....
