My BOSE IPOD dock/speaker is probably 10 -15 years old and still has excellent sound. My problem is the four little prongs on the power cord that connect to the back of the base are broken and I can't find a replacement cord anywhere. Do you have any suggestions?
The only option is go to www.bose.com and contact customer support and the parts department to see if they have available parts for your item.

SOURCE: Only 3 speakers work!
I took the bottom off my go play to have a look inside, the internal port is connected to one rear speaker grill and the other is blanked off, so no sound will come out of that one.

Need to call Bose directly. They don't offer through website but if you call they will sell for around $60
SOURCE: Bose Sounddock - Speakers have a loud hiss at low song volume
Here is how I fixed the hissing noise in my Soundock;
--Pull the bottom plate off (It is attached by 4 screws)
--There is a green motherboard with 2 ribbonwires. .
--One of the ribbonwires (the one the mounts the ribbon vertically) had loosened up.
--Use a tweezers to pop it back into place and that noise will disappear.
This is a design flaw, as the action of inserting/removing your ipod, coupled with the action of setting your sound dock down will work this ribbon loose.
