Question about NEC Dterm DTP 32D-1 Corded Phone
I've had this phone for at least 2 years, & I've noticed that the time is wrong. However, the user guide/manual for it has long since disappeared, & I've got no idea how to access the time settings. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me with how to do this, or even provide a link from where to download a manual for it - the links I've found so far either don't work or aren't for this phone. Idiot-proof instructions would also be appreciated, as I'm not very technically-minded. Many thanks.
If your telephone system is an NEC IPK, Pro II, or Elite, you should be able to go to extension 100 or 101 and dial Feature 9 and enter the new time. To switch between am and pm, press the Recall key after you enter the new time. If your extension numbers do not include 100 or 101, this should work from the 2 lowest extension numbers. The type telephone you have can be used on other NEC systems, and these instructions will only work on the ones I listed above.

To open the USER SETTINGS MENU. Open all three of the One-touch speed dialing panels. Then press the button labeled "Data Registration".
Press the "SET" button 2 times until you see: USER SETTINGS - 1. DATE & TIME.
To open the DATE & TIME Menu. Press SET. Use the buttons on the numeric keypad to enter the current month, day, year and current time. Just enter the new numbers over the old numbers.
To set the year, enter 08, 09, etc.
Use the 24-hours format to enter the time (e.g. 1:00 p.m. would be entered as 13:00)
You can also use the cursor buttons to move the cursor without changing a number entry.
To restore previous entry, press CLEAR. Press SET to "lock in" the Date and Time.
These instructions come directly from the User's Manual.
Hope this helps.
