Hi I've had this headunit for ages and it's great until it started acting up. At the start of the year my I had driven my car for 5 months and when I went to start it up again none of the buttons on the faceplate would work but the stereo could be worked through the remote. A few weeks later everything went back to normal. Everything went great until last month when the same problem happened again, with a few new quirks. The off button works but I can't use the other buttons on the faceplate nor will the remote turn the headunit on. The only way it'll work is if I press the off button twice, then the headunit responds to the remote, but the faceplate buttons (off button excepted) still don't work. Then after a few seconds - minutes depending on the day the headunit stops responding to the remote and so press off button twice on headunit and the remote controls the headunit once more. Anyone got any ideas about what's going on... ??? Thanks, James.
Sounds like a bad connection with the faceplate and the multi connector that the faceplate mates with when closed. check for dirt and bent pins on both connectors. Luck
