It's at the shop right now. The battery trick didn't work. Hopefully it's just an adjustment.

The latch is reset by battery power - try charging the battery and reinstalling it. If that doesn't do it, it'll have to go to a repair shop.

Repaired latch inside door, but when I close the door the light stays on and reads close door

Repaired latch inside door, but when I close the door the light stays on and reads close door
How To Fix A Stuck Latch If your door can open correctly but can't close without getting stuck, it's likely an issue with the latch. Multiple issues can compromise door latches, such as a mechanical error, worn down latch components, broken door handle cables, and more. If the latch is simply stuck, you should be able to fix this yourself without taking your car to a mechanic. Just take some oil lubricant, like WD-40, and spread/spray it into the latch mechanism of your open door. Let the oil soak in for a little bit, then use a microfiber cloth to rub the oil into any visible parts of the latch. While performing this task, check to see if you can find any rust on latch components. If you do, use a piece of steel wool to scrape the rust away. Once removed, try opening the latch with your door handle to confirm that it is once again functioning correctly. In some situations, your latch may accidentally be closed when it should be open. This can happen for multiple reasons - sometimes due to an electrical glitch or a mistake made while repairing the door. Either way, if you have a car door with a closed latch, try opening your door and looking at the latch to determine its orientation. Then, open a functional door and look at the latch to see how it's supposed to be. A working door will have a latch with "open" jaws. These jaws can catch the door jamb anchor and rotate into a closed orientation to secure the door. If the latch's jaws are already closed, it can't engage with the anchor or close properly. To fix this issue, take a screwdriver and hold the door handle in the open position (pulling if necessary). As you pull the handle, rotate the latch with your screwdriver into the correct orientation. If needed, ask a friend or family member to help you hold the door or hold the handle open for you while you perform this action. Once you have moved the latch into the correct orientation, test the door handle a few times. The latch should open when you pull the door handle, and the door should again be functioning correctly.

What do I need to do in order to get the back door on the passenger side to close? A tech from AAA said I needed a spring for the door latch?

if it won`t close look at the door latch mechanism. there should be two u shaped claws that close around the door striker plate pin, sometimes these get closed before the door is closed causing the door not to close and stay closed. if they are closed(claws) pull the door handle to open the door and take something and push the claws out(open) then close the door.

The door won't latch

The most common problem with the door not latching is the top rack not being completely in the back position. Check the rack to make sure that there is nothing jammed and not letting the rack completely close, also make sure that water tube lines up. On most models there is not real adjustments for the door latch.

Frigidaire microwave won't start when door is closed. It looks like the door does not latch properly. It worked 20 minutes ago and last night. How do you troubleshoot and/or fix the switches.

Hello Scott Noble - If I was in your position, I personally will recommend consulting a certified technician first for an accurate diagnosis. Depending on what part(s) is damaged from the door, the microwave could possibly have faulty switches, door switches, or latch which only a professional can repair.

Door latch

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Open Lever If the microwave door won't open the open lever might be broken. This part can be replaced separately.

Door Spring If the microwave door won't open the door spring may have broken. The door spring is located inside the door and keeps downward pressure on the door hook.

Door Latch If the microwave door won't open the door latch might be broken. The door latch is inside the microwave. The door hook, which is part of the door, engages with the latch to keep the door closed during operation. If the door latch or actuator breaks the door may not open.

Door Hook If the microwave door won't open the door hook might not be releasing properly. The door hook is installed inside the door and normally releases when the door is opened. The hook is made of plastic and will break over time. When this happens it will need to be replaced, it can't be repaired.

Button Spring If the microwave door won't open the button spring might be broken internally. The button spring can be replaced.
Button If the microwave door won't open the button might be broken internally. The button can be replaced.

Handle Actuator If the microwave door won't open the handle actuator might be broken. This is a plastic part which can become brittle over time. This part is connected between the door button and the door latch assembly.

Door latch on door itself is in closed position if it will not close at all. In this case, open door and pull outside handle hard to pop open door latch. If you have door opening at random, door latch needs replacing or door catch on body is loose.

When i close the door on my 95 chevy corsica it doesnt close. it just bounces back. please help im a girl and my parents dont know so use small simple words please.

I think what has happened is that the door latch (the one in the door) has somehow closed and won't let the door shut normally.
Here's how it works. The door latch consists of two major parts. One is the short, round metal tube thing that is attached to the car body about halfway up where the door shuts. Inside the door there is a latch in a slot that lines up with round metal tube thing when you shut the door. I think what has happened is the latch has closed, not allowing the door latch to slide over the metal tube thing and close completely. If you look at the latch in the door slot you'll (hopefully) see what I mean. Now how to fix it.
You'll need a medium to large screwdriver and maybe some help from a friend. First, lift the outside door handle like you are going to open the door. Hold it up. Then, with the screwdriver, push the latch in the door slot UPWARD until it clicks and latches.
It is difficult to put this in words but it usually is an easy fix. No damage done to your car (unless you REALLY slammed the door hard numerous times..).
Please re-post with any questions.

When i close the door i hear it close but i have to put something up against it to keep it washing if i take it away it stop washing

Door switch The door switch is important because, if it's defective, the dishwasher won't work at all. To reach it, you need to remove the control panel cover, or sometimes the interior liner of the door. If it's defective, you need to completely replace it.

Latch The latch on many dishwashers is adjustable. If your door is easy to close but difficult to latch, adjust the latch to let the door close more easily. If you can't see any way to adjust the latch, yours may be fixed in a certain position. Check for other reasons for the latching problem. If the latch has worn out in a way that makes it impossible for you to close the door properly, you probably need to replace the latch.
