Battery Recharge I'm having a problem recharging the battery in my e200. I have opened the back up and removed the battery and the e200 connects to the computer okay (though it simply identifies the device as a removable drive and not a unique device as it used to when I first bought it). I have a cradle and rechargers designed for it but none of them work to recharge though they work ok as wall adapters. Any suggestions?

"Removable drive" sounds like it got set back to MTC mode (USB mode in sansa settings menu). Needs to be in MTP mode to really be of any use. I have the e280 and it recharges fine when it's hooked up to my PC. It might be the battery, the connection, or the player. Also, it has to be a "high power" USB port on your PC (whatever that is). ie: If you're on a really old PC, there might not be enough juice getting through to the player. But if the rechargers don't work either.....

Hello i'm venkat.. i have a problem in my sansa 8gb ipod ..its got shut down due to low battery and when i was recharging it, it's not getting on.... could u please tell me the address where it can be...

You could send in the Sansa E280 to here: http://www.pdasmart.com/pda-battery-center/battery_SANDISK_SanDisk-Sansa-e280_battery_center.htm

They will replace your battery for you.

You could also purchase the battery here: http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-Sansa-Battery-E200-E250/dp/B003E4WL6K and install it yourself.

How do I replace the battery on the Sansa e200 player?
1. Remove the back on the e200 by removing the 4 screws.
2. Lift off the back by using a finger nail or a small flat head screw driver. It will not take a lot of force to remove. NOTE: When replacing the e200 battery be sure that the contacts on the battery line up with the contacts on the player.
3. The battery has three gold contacts on one end of the battery, which is near the words SanDisk Sansa. Be sure these contacts match up with the three gold contacts on the back of the player.
4. Lightly push the lined up battery up against the contacts of the player until the bottom end of the battery can be pushed into place.
5. Replace the lid to the back of the player and then plug the player into the computer using the Sansa cable.
6. Once the player has connected to the computer and is ready to be used or says "Connected", unplug the device. NOTE: If the device goes directly to a black screen after unplugging it, then the battery has been replaced incorrectly. Take the back off the player once again and flip the battery around and the e200 device should work properly.

Battery wont recharge-

Below are some things to check for when charging your Sansa player:
USB Cable Make sure that the USB cable is properly plugged in and use the original cable that came with your player. Make sure the computer isn't entering hibernation or sleep mode while the device is connected. The computer must be ON in order to charge your player. USB Port 2.0 Make sure the player is connected to a USB 2.0 port (1.1 occasionally causes charging problems). USB Port location Try plugging into different USB ports (i.e. USB port in the back of the computer); occasionally the front USB ports have limited power to charge up the device. Battery Make sure the battery is fully charged. It takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge the battery. Latest firmware Depending on what Sansa player you have, make sure it's up to date with the latest firmware. AC charger (optional) AC chargers (sold separately) have a 500-1000 milliamp max output, which provides much better charging ability than a USB port. These accessories are available on our online store.

The battery died on my 03 diamante. when i tried to recharge it the car alarm started and wont stop to allow the car to keep a charge?

Only Recharge the Battery with both the Cables: Positive and Negative removed from the Battery.
With the Charger OFF the Battery - Reset your Alarm turning it OFF.
Then Disconnect the Battery completely.
Never Recharge a Battery while it is still connected.

Sansa e200 Doesn't Work

The battery may have become loose from the contacts. So it turns on when connected, but the battery is not charging. Try removing the screws on the back, take out the battery and put it back in. Then charge the device for a couple hours and see if it works. Best of Luck.
