Question about Viking 37 in. VGSU161 Gas Cooktop
When i turn on specific burners on my Viking Cooktop, the igniter keeps clicking even after the flame is lit. The only 2 burners that don't have the clicking noise are the simmer burner and the front middle burner. I bought a 6 burner stove but can only cook with 2 burners. Each of the other 4 burners when turned on causes the back middle burner to click click click continuously. Service people have been over multiple times. They fix it for one day and then it goes back to clicking again. Please suggest how to make the clicking noise stop. Thanks, sdparikh
I have a viking gas cooktop. The ignitor on one of my front burners wouldn't stop clicking even after the flame ignited. I swapped that ignitor with the ignitor from a back burner, expecting that the problem was with the ignitor and that the back burner would start to click incessantly, but at least I'd have my favorite front burner for use. Instead, the front burner was then only clicking 50% of the time and the back burner was fine, suggesting the problem was related to the burner not the ignitor. I pulled the front ignitor a bit away from the burner and now it is working normally. Hope this helps.
