Question about Mitsubishi WS-65857 65" Rear Projection Television

Power loss turn tv on it shuts right back off green light comes on for five seconds and shuts right back off any sugestions

    Mitsubishi WS-65857 TV automatically turns off.

    We hooked up a 1080 splitter to the back of the tv. It is hooked to the satellite and playstation 3. When we put a DVD in the playstation the power went off and now will not stay on. Push the power button and the green light shows for a few seconds and then goes off. I have tried to unplug and start again, and unhooked all cables-and power and tried power with just power cord plugged in. Still not working.

    same problem...tv just went dead. Power green light stays on 10 seconds, then clicks off.

Check for 12v on Q5A33 110v on Q5A01 this feeds T5A31 that powers the CRT filaments make sure Diode DA52 isnt open and also check horizontal output Q5A31 for being shorted or open. let me know if you need any more info.

UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ON FOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD “device” and “menu” buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release both together.


Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem


******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protect the Convergence IC or IC’s is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergence IC and shut down.


SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES AND THEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM

I have a 52" RCA tv that when i turn it on the green power light comes on for five seconds, shuts off for five seconds, it does this three times. And if you hold the power button down, it does it once...
you need a flyback. If your model has the ITC222 chassis you need flyback 259296 you can get one at the following link with free instructions on how to install it yourself.

Minium is the green picture tube need to be replaced, if you can take the front cover and access panel off there is a control with 3 focus and screen controls.
you can adjust the 3 screen controls to possibly get a little more time out of it before the crt's need to be replaced. careful if you turn them down too much there will be no picture, and if you turn them too high the tv will go bright and shut off

Mitsubishi VS-50VF2 Curved picture problem The picture on the top and bottom of my Mitsubishi VS-50VF2 curves in. This happens most of the time in the last couple of years when I turn the TV on. Occasionally the picture fills the screen properly with the verticle and horizontal edges being straight. Other than the curving in from the top and bottom the picture quality is very good. The curving is faily minimal so it hasn't been much of a problem. What is the problem and what can be done to solve the problem?
